Microsoft is launching a new subscription called Microsoft 365 Premium that combines the features of both Microsoft 365 and Copilot Pro. Previously, these were separate subscriptions – Microsoft 365 cost up to $12.99 per month, and Copilot Pro was $19.99 per month.
For $19.99 a month, Microsoft 365 Premium gives you the full Office suite plus the advanced features of Copilot Pro. This includes increased usage allowances and access to Copilot Pro tools like Copilot Labs and Actions.
According to Microsoft’s Yusef Mehdi, the new Microsoft 365 Premium subscription costs $19.99 a month and offers the best of both Microsoft 365 Family and Copilot Pro, plus even more. It combines the familiar productivity apps with powerful AI features and generous usage limits. This subscription is designed for individuals who need to handle complex tasks, like in-depth research or creating impactful presentations.
Here’s everything the new subscription comes with:
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook desktop apps with Copilot built in
- Access to Researcher and Analyst—powerful reasoning agents announced for our commercial customers earlier this year (available in the Microsoft 365 Copilot desktop app today and coming soon to the Word, PowerPoint, and Excel apps)
- Early access to innovative features like Office Agent and Agent Mode that transform a single prompt into expert-quality documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Our highest usage limits for select features like 4o image generation and Voice (coming soon) in the Microsoft 365 Copilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook apps
- Highest usage limits for select features like 4o image generation, Podcasts, Deep Research, Vision, and Actions in the Copilot app
- Access to our new Photos Agent in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app (coming soon)

Alongside the new subscription option, Microsoft is giving the icons for its Office apps – like Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook – a fresh, more modern look with rounded designs. These updated icons will be released to all Microsoft 365 users over the next few weeks.
