“Ozempic Vulva” Is Very Real, According to Terry and Heather Dubrow

Dr. Terry Dubrow and wife Heather Dubrow are shedding light on a little-known Ozempic side effect.

Actually, the reality TV couple recently shared that their four children were upset with them after a surprising conversation about a weight-loss medication.

During their iHeart podcast Between Us, they discussed some surprisingly private topics,” Terry shared with Francesca Amiker of TopMob News, “perhaps sharing a bit too much information.”

Heather chimed in with, “They didn’t like that we were talking about Ozempic vulva.”

Yes, you heard that right.

If you’re wondering about the unwanted physical changes some people are experiencing while on semaglutide medications, let the well-known Botched doctor provide an explanation.

According to Terry, reducing body fat can lower estrogen levels. And lower estrogen might lead to decreased natural lubrication, increased irritation, reduced volume, and other changes in that area.

However, Heather was quick to note, “That’s not my problem!”

However, discussions about Ozempic and sexual health aren’t the only mature subjects this couple, both over 30, are exploring. They’re openly sharing everything with their followers – from the challenges of parenting to the specifics of their multi-million-dollar business, including times when things didn’t go as planned. They’re being completely transparent for their fans’ entertainment.

Terry and I have been making a lot of silly TikTok videos, and my kids tell me they’re pretty embarrassing,” The Real Housewives of Orange County star confessed. “But they were getting millions of views, so people kept asking us to continue. Eventually, we thought, ‘Let’s just go for it! It could be a lot of fun.’

Although their conversations about sex sometimes cause their twins Nick and Max, both 21, as well as Kat, 18, and Ace, 14, to react with annoyance, Heather and Terry promise they will never share their children’s personal lives on the podcast.

Oh my gosh, Heather was talking about her kids, and it was *everything*. She said they’re at these ages where they really know who they are, and how they want to present themselves to the world, which is just…so them! She admitted some of it is totally cringy, and honestly, good for them! But she was really clear – they’re drawing a line at anything that could actually *matter* or have a big impact. Like, no big, permanent decisions! It’s just…I get it! She’s so protective, and it’s adorable. She just wants to let them be themselves, within reason, you know? Parenting is hard!

It seems that consistently spending quality time together is likely the key to Terry and Heather maintaining their connection after being together for over thirty years.

As Terry explained, “We’re not interested in hobbies like golf or pickleball; we genuinely enjoy working. We build things as a team, and I believe even creating the podcast is an expression of that shared passion.”

Although Heather acknowledged that “sometimes you have good years and bad years,” she emphasized that “it really comes down to how you navigate challenges.” She described marriage as a significant act of trust. She expressed gratitude for their relationship, saying, “We’ve been fortunate. We love each other, we actively nurture our marriage, we’re best friends, and we’ve discovered shared passions.”

Even though Heather acknowledged that “sometimes there are ups and downs,” she emphasized that it’s the experience that matters. “Marriage requires trusting each other completely,” she continued. “We’ve been fortunate. The comedian began taking the medication Mounjaro, used to treat Type 2 diabetes, in late 2022. She publicly revealed her significant weight loss in May 2025.

Rosie shared on Instagram, “I can’t believe this is me now,” along with the hashtags #mounjaro #weightloss #bodydismorphia.

As a lifestyle expert, I always say shared experiences bring couples closer, and that’s definitely true for Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara! After welcoming their son Riley in 2021, they decided to tackle the 75 Hard challenge – and Meghan shared on their podcast, Workin’ On It, that they absolutely nailed it! But then, they started hearing from friends – and even their doctors – about medications like Mounjaro and Ozempic.

Both of them chose to start with the smallest amount of Monjaro available, and they paired the medication with regular exercise and healthy eating. “Daryl and I always do things together,” the “All About That Bass” singer shared. “And that’s how we began this process.”

Former Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson tried a weight loss injection, but only used it once. She shared on her Instagram Stories in April 2025, “I started the weight loss shots. Only did one. Nevermind. Throwing away!!”

In the end, the Playboy model stated she didn’t want to take any chances with her health. “I’ve heard too many scary stories from people I know,” the mother of two explained. “They end up in the emergency room. They need surgeries. I’ll pass, thanks.”

In March 2025, the host of the Golden Globes strongly supported people using Ozempic, and encouraged more open conversations about the medication.

“I’m all for it. I tell people, ‘Go ahead!’” she shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I don’t think it’s anyone’s place to judge. If you’re considering Ozempic, absolutely, go for it!”

She explained, “I hope people can feel more at ease discussing this, as I think there’s a lot of shame surrounding it.” She went on to say, “That shame actually comes from people who are already thin and want you to remain larger. They’re upset that you’re losing weight, because that’s all they focus on, isn’t it? You’re vibrant, you have a great personality, and that bothers them.”

In December 2024, the model stated she had previously used Ozempic, but she discontinued it after beginning her participation in Dancing With the Stars the prior autumn.

I tried it briefly when it first became popular, as everyone else was at the time,” Nader explained to Us Weekly. “It actually made me feel quite sick to my stomach. I did enjoy it-I’ll be honest-but when I started competing on Dancing with the Stars, I realized I couldn’t continue doing both things.”

Brooks explained that the medication made her lose some of her drive and energy to exercise. She stated, “It was either that, or something else,” and she chose to focus on dancing instead. She stopped taking the medication.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always thrilled to hear about people achieving their wellness goals! I recently learned that Dog the Bounty Hunter’s daughter has had an incredible transformation. She shared on November 1st that she lost 58 pounds in just 10 months! She credits this success to a combination of dietary changes and using the weight loss medication, Tirzepatide. And honestly, the best part of her journey? She said, ‘I am able to look at myself in the mirror and feel so proud of where I’ve gotten.‘ That’s what it’s all about – feeling confident and healthy! You can learn more about her journey here.

Before discovering a solution that suited her, she had a difficult experience with Ozempic. “I really disliked it,” she told TopMob News. “I constantly felt sick to my stomach and couldn’t eat. There were times I couldn’t eat anything at all. My body just didn’t react well to it.” She explained.

As a huge fan, I’ve been following all the buzz, and I was so interested to hear that the The Real Housewives of New York City star herself addressed the talk about how amazing she looks! She basically shut down all the speculation about any changes between seasons 14 and 15. It’s great to hear it straight from her!

Ugh, it’s just *so* typical, right? When you’re watching reality TV, everyone immediately jumps to conclusions. Like, ‘Oh, she must have had work done,’ or ‘She’s definitely on Ozempic!’ She told Us Weekly back in October 2024 that she totally gets it, it’s just… natural to assume those things. But honestly? She *really* hates Ozempic. She said she’d never inject herself with needles, ever! I mean, can you blame her? It’s just… frustrating that people always assume that’s what’s happening instead of, you know, just accepting her for who she is!

As a huge Lizzo fan, I’ve been following the recent chatter online. After she shared a photo showing how amazing she looks, some people started speculating she might have used Ozempic to lose weight. Well, she responded with this video! It’s set to a really popular sound from TikTok – it’s Christoph Waltz‘s character saying, “It’s like a reward” from the movie Django Unchained. It’s a pretty clever way to address the rumors, honestly.

Kate Moss‘ little sis revealed why getting on Ozempic was “the worst decision I ever made,” during a September 2024 episode of her Dream On podcast.

After consuming a dose intended for people weighing around 220 pounds or heavier, the model experienced difficulty keeping food or liquids down and required a visit to the emergency room.

She shared that she actually had a seizure because she was so severely dehydrated, and said it was the most frightening experience of her life. “My friend had to hold my feet down. It was so scary, the whole situation. My face was clenching up, my whole body was tense.”

The former star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 shared with Page Six in April 2024 that he shed 32 pounds over two months after using semaglutide injections – the generic version of Ozempic.

“You know what’s annoying?” he said. “The regret of not starting it 10 years ago.”

In a blog post from March 2024, the Pioneer Woman clarified that her 50-pound weight loss in 2022 wasn’t achieved through medications like Ozempic or other similar drugs.

She continued, “However, you can be sure I will never criticize anyone for making that choice!”

In August 2023, the 30 Rock alum shared on Today With Hoda and Jenna that he lost weight using Ozempic, which reduced his hunger.

In March 2024, his health seemed to shift in an unexpected way. He shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that, “I’ve managed to eat more than enough to counteract the effects of Ozempic,” and explained, “I’ve actually gained 40 pounds.”

Later that month, I was relieved to hear him tell TopMob News he was just kidding! He also added, and I was so happy to hear it, “Ozempic did great by me and I was glad to use it.” It was good to know he was being honest about his experience.

The Real Housewives of Dubai star revealed she used Ozempic following a “midlife crisis” she experienced at age 45.

She admitted on the May 22nd episode of her podcast Uncut & Uncensored With Caroline Stanbury that “after 40, losing weight is incredibly difficult.” She explained that many women around her age had asked how she’d managed to stay in shape, and she was honest about her method: “I used Ozempic, which I believe is a really effective option if it’s available to you.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star firmly stated, “I am not on Ozempic” during a July 2024 Watch What Happens Live interview. She then jokingly admitted, “I’m on Mounjaro, okay. I apologize! I really enjoy being at this weight, I truly do! I have a lot of energy, if you’ve noticed.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared that she wasn’t successful in losing weight using the weight-loss injection.

It didn’t reduce my hunger at all. I’ve heard some people say, ‘I’m not hungry,’ but that wasn’t my experience! I was having appetizers, a full meal, and dessert, okay? It had no effect on my appetite,” she explained in June 2024. “It’s really discouraging when you see something work for others and it doesn’t work for you. It honestly makes you wonder, ‘What’s wrong with me? Why isn’t this working for me?’

I’m not qualified to give medical opinions, but I’m aware there’s a lot of data available on what treatments are effective and what isn’t,” she said during an interview with Fox News Digital. “I believe Ozempic can be very helpful, but it also carries some risks.”

The former Little Mix member, who has previously discussed her battles with anorexia, shared that it was challenging to steer clear of Ozempic given the online conversation surrounding her weight.

As someone who’s dedicated my life to healthy living and body positivity, I can honestly share that I wrestle with the temptation of drugs like Ozempic every single day. I told The Guardian in August 2025 that I absolutely don’t fault anyone who chooses to use it – everyone’s journey is their own. However, given my personal history with eating disorders, I’m genuinely concerned about where that path might lead for me. It’s a constant internal conversation, and I really have to check in with myself and prioritize long-term well-being over quick fixes.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star reportedly used the drug to lose weight following the birth of her son, Beau, in 2017.

She mentioned on her misSPELLING podcast in April 2024 that Ozempic wasn’t effective for her, but Mounjaro was successful and helped her lose weight. “I tried Ozempic and it didn’t work for me,” she shared, “so I went on Mounjaro, which did do the trick and I did lose weight.”

It’s crucial to remember that medications are designed for specific individuals,” the actress explained to Francesca Amiker of TopMob News, “and shouldn’t be used simply for cosmetic reasons.”

Raven went on, “Handle things as you see fit, but please prioritize saving the medication for those who truly require it.”

Oh my gosh, you won’t *believe* this! Talk U.K.’s host actually shared in September 2023 that she lost a whopping 42 pounds! Apparently, she started using Ozempic earlier in the year, and it seriously worked for her. I’m just so impressed and a little obsessed with her transformation, honestly!

“The decision is entirely yours,” she shared with TopMob News. “It’s not something to be ashamed of if you’ve used a product to aid weight loss – that’s perfectly acceptable.”

She added, “We don’t have to bulls–t.”

Sharon’s daughter has also weighed in on the Ozempic trend.

“It’s truly incredible,” the Fashion Police personality shared with TopMob News in January 2024. “With so many options for weight loss, why not choose a method that’s more enjoyable than just exercising?”

Kate Winslet, famous for her role in Titanic, recently spoke about her thoughts on the current trend of focusing on weight loss. She herself was often the subject of tabloid scrutiny regarding her weight in the past.

Honestly, I was a little surprised when I first heard about Ozempic. As I told The New York Times Magazine in March 2024, I really didn’t know much about it. I just knew it was some kind of medication people were talking about, that’s all!

“Oh, my God,” Kate remarked after learning about the injectable. “This sounds terrible.”

The Hills star shared in December 2023 that she had recently lost 22 pounds-and she didn’t use Ozempic to do it. “There are no easy ways to succeed in life. And if you’re trying to take one, I wouldn’t know about it,” she told Page Six when discussing other celebrities who are using the drug. “I don’t want to point fingers or get involved, but it’s definitely not something I would ever consider.”

Heidi explained, “I’m looking for something that’s environmentally friendly and also involves dedication and effort.”

The Trainwreck star openly criticized celebrities for being dishonest about using Ozempic for weight loss. She made these comments during her June 8, 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

It seems like Andy Cohen and so many others are trying it. She told him that people have been pretending, saying, ‘Oh, I’m just eating less,’ but she doesn’t believe it. She said, ‘Seriously, stop. You’re either using Ozempic or something similar, or you’ve had cosmetic procedures.’ He has also spoken publicly about the Ozempic trend several times.

Senator Schumer, who has previously discussed her cosmetic surgeries, stated, “Just be honest with people. I openly admitted I had liposuction.”

She shared that she quickly became very interested in Ozempic in 2022, but clarified that taking the medication for Type 2 diabetes wasn’t sustainable for her. It made it difficult for her to enjoy time with her son Gene.

I remember being so unwell that I couldn’t even play with my son,” Schumer shared. “I was really thin, and he was throwing a ball at me, but I just didn’t have the strength to participate.

Oh my gosh, Dr. Drew *actually* told TopMob News – I was *there* at the Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season two event in Los Angeles on September 12, 2023 – that people are so conflicted about interventions like this! He said we’re totally fascinated by them, like we can’t look away, but then we also feel the need to, like, judge what’s happening? It’s so weird, but I totally get what he means!

He added, “If a medicine exists that could be beneficial, people should definitely consider using it.”

Forget winter, a hot take is coming.

The Game of Thrones actress didn’t hesitate to share what she thought about Ozempic and the commercials promoting it.

On April 5, 2023, the actress shared a tweet from writer Sophie Vershbow on her Instagram Story. Vershbow’s tweet expressed strong disapproval of advertisements for Ozempic, saying, “The Ozempic ads plastered across the Times Square subway station can fk all the way off.” Vershbow included photos of the ads in her tweet, one of which stated, “One shot to lose weight,” and another with similar wording, “A weekly shot to lose weight.”

Turner adding her own commentary, writing, “WTF.”

As a lifestyle expert, I want to clarify something important regarding TopMob News‘ reporting. Novo Nordisk, the maker of Ozempic, has confirmed to me that the medication isn’t currently FDA-approved for long-term weight management. It’s crucial to understand that while it’s effective for some, its primary approval is for other health conditions. Always consult with your doctor to determine if any medication is right for you.

Novo Nordisk, the Danish pharmaceutical company, stated that although some doctors may be prescribing Ozempic to patients wanting to lose weight, they do not advertise, recommend, or support using their medications for purposes other than those approved. They are dedicated to following all relevant U.S. laws and rules when promoting their products. The company also expressed confidence that healthcare professionals are carefully considering each patient’s unique situation and choosing the most appropriate medication for them. They emphasize that the decision rests with the provider and patient.

For the comedian, Ozempic is a serious issue. Handler shared that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed the medication to her without her being aware of what it actually was.

“I didn’t even realize I was using it,” she shared on the January 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “She told me, ‘If you’re looking to lose about five pounds, this could help.’”

But while she tried the drug, Handler noted that she didn’t like how it made her feel.

She remembered returning from vacation and giving herself an injection. A few days later, she had lunch with a friend who said, ‘I’m not really eating anything. I’m so nauseous, I’m on Ozempic.‘ She thought to herself, ‘I’m kind of nauseous too,’ but realized she was likely just feeling unwell from her recent trip to Spain and the resulting jet lag.

In the end, Handler decided to stop taking the medication, explaining it wasn’t required for her health. She also mentioned that she shared the leftover doses with friends.

Okay, so this is a really concerning situation I’ve been hearing about. Apparently, someone was sharing their Ozempic with friends – and not because they needed it for themselves! She actually tried it, decided it wasn’t for her – saying it felt silly – and then started giving it to others. She described having people come to her house at scheduled times – ‘I can see you at 1, I can see you at 2’ – almost like a clinic. It’s important to remember that Ozempic is a medication for people who genuinely need it, and sharing or using it without a doctor’s prescription is incredibly dangerous and irresponsible. This isn’t a lifestyle choice; it’s a serious health risk.

Khloe Kardashian clapped back when commenters on Instagram speculated that she was taking Ozempic.

Kardashian responded to criticism in a January 2023 post, saying, “Let’s not discredit my years of working out.” She explained that she trains five days a week, waking up at 6am. Kardashian then asked people to stop making assumptions, adding, “I guess the new year still means mean people.”

Besides using the weight-loss medication, Dr. Dubrow shared in January 2023 that he briefly took Mounjaro to understand its effects on the body.

You know, I was really impressed with it,” I shared. “Honestly, I didn’t have a ton of weight to lose myself. But I was curious to try it because so many of my patients were already using it, and I wanted to experience firsthand what it’s like when you’re not dealing with diabetes and you’re just looking to lose about 10 to 15 pounds. As a doctor – and someone who helps people transform their lives – I think it’s so important to understand these things from a personal perspective, not just a medical one. It really gave me a new appreciation for my patients’ journeys, especially those featured on Botched.

Dr. Dubrow didn’t reveal the amount of weight he lost or the duration of his medication use, but he did confirm that he has stopped taking it.

He said he decided to stop taking the medication because he wanted to regain his appetite, and also because he’d been feeling a bit nauseous – a “low-grade nausea” as he put it.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star addressed rumors that she was using medication to lose weight, after fans on social media commented on her noticeably slimmer figure.

Richards responded to a user on Instagram, under a photo posted on Jan. 5, 2023 of herself with friends after exercising, stating, “I am NOT on ozempic.” In a separate reply, Richards further clarified, “Never have been.”

That wasn’t the only time the Bravo star denied the rumors, emphasizing that she is “NOT taking” the medication. This clarification came in response to a Page Six Instagram post from January 16, 2023.
