After nearly seven years of anticipation, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is now released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The role-playing game, created by Media.Vision, centers around Dan and Kanan Yuki, operatives of Adamas, as they travel to the past to prevent a disaster.
But things don’t go as planned, and they’re sent even further into the past. With the future at risk and Shinjuku at the heart of the problem, a desperate search begins to uncover the cause of strange occurrences and prevent disaster. This includes catching and training Digimon, building relationships with people in the Digimon World, and even traveling to that world itself.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger brings some interesting new features to the table, like Digimon automatically beating weaker enemies and the addition of Cross Arts and Agent Skills. You can find a more in-depth look in our review (but keep in mind the story isn’t particularly strong). A demo is also available, and you can carry your progress over to the full game.
Players with the Season Pass or Digital Deluxe Edition will receive three future DLC packs, each featuring new stories-referred to as “episodes.” Additionally, each pack will introduce five new Digimon.
