Shortly after it came out, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle quickly became the most successful anime film ever made. It first premiered in Japan on July 18th, 2025, and then arrived in U.S. cinemas on September 12th. Infinity Castle represents the most action-packed story arc in the series, delivering some of the greatest battles seen in recent Shonen anime. Even the initial installment features three incredible fights against the Upper Moon demons, with much more action still to come. Following the film’s huge success around the world, fans are eagerly anticipating the next two parts of the trilogy, which will continue the intense battle within the Infinity Castle. However, since the film only recently launched internationally, the studio hasn’t yet shared any news about the second part.
It’s been at least five years since production of the film trilogy began, coinciding with the end of the original manga. Because Ufotable aims to release each part relatively close together, we likely won’t have a very long wait for Part 2. The studio has consistently released new seasons or films annually since 2019, which fans eagerly look forward to. However, according to a September interview with Crunchyroll CEO Rahul Purini, Ufotable hasn’t yet set a release date for the second part. Thankfully, Demon Slayer is planning a large event in December 2025, which could finally share the information fans are hoping for.
Demon Slayer Confirms Jump Festa Super Stage Details
Jump Festa 2026 will take place on December 21st and 22nd, 2025, and Demon Slayer is scheduled to appear on the Super Stage. This is one of the largest annual anime and manga events hosted by Shueisha, where various Shonen series reveal news about upcoming projects. The event has been running since 1999 and now attracts more than 100,000 attendees each year. As one of the most popular Shonen Jump series ever, Demon Slayer frequently uses the Super Stage to share exciting announcements.
The anime event will be held on December 21st, from 11:40 AM to 12:10 PM JST. The official website announced that four key voice actors – Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), Takahiro Sakurai (Giyu Tomioka), and Saori Hayami (Shinobu Kocho) – will be present at the Festa. During the event, the voice actors will connect with fans and talk about their time working on the show.
Given how big this event is, we’re likely to hear some exciting news about the series. While it’s not certain if we’ll get any updates on Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle Part 2, there’s a good chance Ufotable will share something important. You can currently watch all seasons of Demon Slayer, including the Infinity Train movie, on Crunchyroll. The first part of Infinity Castle won’t have a streaming release date for a few months, meaning we can probably expect it on the platform sometime next year.
