Rihanna Makes First Appearance Since Welcoming Baby Rocki Irish

Rihanna’s got love on the brain.

Rihanna, the singer of “Umbrella,” was seen in public for the first time since welcoming her daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, with boyfriend A$AP Rocky on September 13th. She made the appearance to celebrate A$AP Rocky’s 37th birthday on October 3rd in Los Angeles.

Okay, let me tell you what I saw! Rihanna and A$AP Rocky definitely made an entrance! As parents to RZA, who’s 3, and little Riot, who’s 2, they arrived at the party in the most amazing vintage black Rolls Royce convertible. Rihanna kept it cool and chic with an oversized black leather jacket and dark sunglasses, and she looked so cozy wrapped around A$AP. He was incredibly suave in a beige trench coat over a crisp white dress shirt and striped tie – total style points! It was a seriously fashionable arrival.

Just a week before, Rihanna, the 37-year-old founder of Fenty Beauty, revealed the birth of her daughter, Rocki, with a sweet photo on Instagram. The picture showed the newborn wearing a cute pink outfit and bow, along with little pink ballet slippers, while she slept peacefully in her mother’s arms.

Rihanna definitely turned heads when she presented her baby to the world! She accessorized with an impressive $128,000 worth of jewelry while holding her child. This included a rose gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak wristwatch, reportedly worth $99,900 according to the brand, a $40,000 gold pendant from Marie Lichtenberg, and a $7,950 Splendente Letter Pendant.

Everyone was delighted by the beautiful moment, but A$AP was especially thrilled, joyfully commenting, “MY LIL LADIES.”

Before giving birth to Riri (Rocki), Rihanna shared that she “always wanted a girl,” but also expressed she would have been equally happy with a baby of any gender.

“God knows best, right?” the Grammy winner told Extra in July. “And I love my boys.”

Following her announcement that she was expecting her first child, Rihanna shared how difficult it was to hide her pregnancy from her close friends. She told TopMob’s Justin Sylvester, “It was tougher keeping it from my inner circle because they’re always with me and know what I usually do.” They noticed changes in her behavior, like when they asked, ‘You don’t want a drink? You’re not smoking?’ and she started craving foods she normally wouldn’t touch. “I suddenly wanted cookies and donuts – they know I hate sweets!” she explained. Eventually, she revealed the news, and like the rest of the world, her friends were completely surprised.

As a lifestyle expert, I was getting *so* many questions after people spotted what looked like proposal hints in A$AP Rocky’s “D.M.B.” music video! Everyone was buzzing about whether he’d proposed to Rihanna, noticing the phrases “Marry me?” and “I do” on their teeth. But, I can tell you from sources close to the couple, that engagement news from May 2022 was actually not true. They weren’t engaged at that time.

And baby makes three! Multiple outlets report that the couple welcomed a baby in Los Angeles.

She debuted her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.

Rihanna accompanied A$AP Rocky during his performance at a Spotify party in Cannes, France.

The couple had a baby boy, named Riot, who is their second child. A month after his birth, they publicly shared photos of their family of four for the first time in a special photoshoot.

Rihanna confirmed her romance with A$AP began at the end of 2019. 

She explained in an Interview conversation published on April 9th that they were both familiar with relationships. “We understood what we were capable of – both the good and the potential for causing each other pain,” she said. “We knew we could really hurt each other, so we began dating very carefully and with a lot of consideration.”

Baby number three is on the way! Just before attending the 2025 Met Gala, the singer of “Love on the Brain” announced that she is expecting.
