Looking for the best class to play in the late game of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance? Our tier list can give you a helpful guide!
Okay, so there are 8 classes to choose from in this game, and each one lets you specialize even further with two different builds. That means a ton of options! It’s not surprising some builds are stronger than others, but honestly, everything feels pretty viable right now. I’m still figuring out what works best for me!
Let’s dive in and take a look at our class tier list, where we’ll explain our rankings.
Best Class for Endgame Content | Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Tier List
- S+ – Verdant Oracle.
- S – Marskman, Stormblade, Shield Knight, Heavy Guardian.
- A – Frost Mage, Soul Musician.
- B – Wind Knight.
Breaking Down the Tiers | Placement Reasoning
S+ Tier
This level is currently only for the Verdant Oracle class, and for good reason – it’s almost essential for succeeding in the later stages of the game!
Okay, so right now, if you need a healer, the Verdant Oracle is seriously the best. I mean, I don’t do much damage *with* them, but honestly, who cares? They keep the team alive like nothing else, and their shields are insane. They’re a proper, dedicated healer – that’s what they’re built for, and they excel at it.
When it comes to keeping your team alive at the highest levels of the game, the Verdant Oracle’s healing abilities are unmatched. This class is essential for any serious group, and choosing to play one will make you a highly sought-after teammate for challenging dungeons and raids!
This class is helpful whether you focus on Smite or Lifebind builds. However, most players prefer Lifebind because it heals more effectively. The damage output from the Smite build isn’t very strong.
The Verdant Oracle is a strong class with very few weaknesses. While mastering resource management for maximum healing takes a little effort, and some players might find the gameplay a bit too straightforward, those are the only real drawbacks.
S Tier
Alongside the Verdant Oracle, the S tier includes essential classes for any team. This means the main damage dealers – the Marksman and Stormblade – and the tanks, specifically the Shield Knight and Heavy Guardian.
Stormblade and Marksman are generally considered equally effective damage dealers (DPS). Both classes excel at taking down single targets, making them highly sought after for fighting bosses.
Generally speaking, Marksman performs a little better than Stormblade. This is primarily because Marksman is simpler to control, making it a more consistent choice.
The Stormblade’s Moonstrike ability hasn’t been very strong up to this point. Fortunately, it looks like developers are planning to improve it before the game officially releases, so it’s too early to say if it will remain weak.
When it comes to Tanks, most players prefer Shield Knights over Heavy Guardians. Shield Knights deal more damage and are more adaptable in different situations.
While the Heavy Guardian might have some drawbacks, it excels at gathering and controlling groups of enemies. This makes it a strong choice for dungeons. Plus, it’s a fairly simple class to learn, making it a good option for players who are new to playing a Tank.
A Tier
Moving on to the A tier, we have two classes in here, both fulfilling different roles!
Let’s start with the Frost Mage. This class is a strong damage dealer, especially when fighting groups of enemies. It’s a popular choice for tackling dungeons and similar challenges.
Okay, so the Frost Mage is awesome, but it’s not perfect. The biggest problem is how squishy it is – I mean, seriously low defenses! Add to that the fact that I can’t really move quickly and my spells take a while to cast, and it can be a pretty risky class to play. You really have to think things through before jumping into a fight!
As a fan, I can tell you that Frost Mage is all about huge damage and locking down enemies – it’s seriously powerful in that regard! But, and this is a big ‘but’, they’re super fragile. If you like playing a character that can dish out a ton of pain but needs to be protected, Frost Mage is awesome. It’s definitely not a forgiving class, though, so it’s not for everyone.
The Soul Musician, also called the Beat Performer, is one of the game’s Support classes. However, it struggles to stand out because the Verdant Oracle is such a powerful healer.
Overall, the Soul Musician is a really good class. It’s enjoyable to play, and it offers great support to a team through helpful buffs and healing abilities.
However, this class doesn’t heal as effectively as the Verdant Oracle. Without a Verdant Oracle present, the Soul Musician will have a hard time keeping the party alive.
B Tier
Finally, we’ve placed the Wind Knight in our B tier. It’s a really enjoyable class and a perfectly good option, to be clear!
The Wind Knight is a powerful class, but it takes more work to master than others. You’ll need to invest significantly more effort compared to classes like Marksman and Stormblade to perform at your best.
This isn’t necessarily negative, but it often leads to having to put in more effort for smaller gains.
Adding to the frustration, the Wind Knight’s special way of moving can be unreliable. Throughout the game’s lifespan, the Wind Knight has consistently been susceptible to strange glitches and technical problems that impact how it plays.
Despite everything, the Wind Knight remains a good option for players who are dedicated and willing to learn. It’s incredibly rewarding to play because it requires a lot of skill, and mastering it is a fun challenge!
That wraps up our class tier list! Now you know which classes we think are strongest for tackling the toughest challenges in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
