Despite all the excitement around *Battlefield 6*, many gamers are eagerly awaiting *ARC Raiders* from Embark Studios. This extraction shooter releases on October 30th for $39.99 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and it’s been a highly anticipated game, particularly after a successful technical test.
There’s some disappointing news about cross-play. According to the official FAQ, you can’t limit cross-play to only consoles – turning it off will simply group players who are all on the same console together. Also, console players won’t be able to use mouse and keyboard controls at launch, so it won’t be a factor when playing against PC players.
Dealing with cheaters is always a concern, but Embark Studios has handled it pretty well so far. It would have been nice to see a matchmaking system that lets players on different platforms play together, similar to what *Battlefield 6* offers, though.
On October 17th, ARC Raiders will have a server test on all platforms, letting players experience cross-play functionality. You can find more information here.
