Jonah Hill Shows Major Weight Loss Transformation on Set of New Movie

Jonah Hill is committing to his next movie role in a major way.

Leonardo DiCaprio, known for his role in *The Wolf of Wall Street*, looked very different while filming his new comedy, *Cut Off*, in Los Angeles on October 6th. He sported an unusual outfit and appeared to have lost a considerable amount of weight.

Forty-one-year-old Jonah stepped out of his trailer wearing a rather unusual outfit. He had on a tight-fitting leopard-print turtleneck, blue jeans with black fringe, and tan boots. His look was completed by long, shaggy blonde hair and a pair of cat-eye glasses.

The upcoming film, starring Kristen Wiig, centers around two siblings who are cut off financially by their parents, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Jonah Hill not only has a leading role, but he also directed, produced, and co-wrote the movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2026.

Jonah isn’t new to changing his physique for a part. He’d previously discussed gaining weight for the movie *War Dogs*, and afterward, he even reached out to a friend for advice on getting back in shape.

Oh my god, you will NOT believe this! I heard Channing Tatum – *Channing Tatum!* – actually said this on The Tonight Show back in 2016. Apparently, someone actually asked him if losing weight and hitting the gym would, like, get them in shape?! And Channing, being the brutally honest angel we all know and love, just straight-up told them, ‘Yeah, you dumb motherfker, of course you will. It’s the simplest thing in the entire world!’ I mean, can you even?! It’s the most Channing Tatum response ever, honestly. I’ve replayed that clip a million times.

The Oscar nominee has also openly discussed his insecurities about how he looks. In 2021, he wrote a letter explaining his difficulties with his weight, which came about after pictures of him without a shirt were shared online.

He shared on Instagram (in a post later deleted in August 2022) that he didn’t feel comfortable taking his shirt off in a pool until he was in his mid-30s, even around people he knew well. He explained this was likely due to childhood insecurities that were made worse by years of negative comments about his body from the media and interviewers.

But as Jonah went on to note, his self-worth had come a long way since then.

Honestly, it’s so freeing. He said the constant paparazzi – trying to catch me surfing and then publishing those photos – just doesn’t bother me anymore, and I totally get it. He’s at a point where he’s 37 and genuinely loves and accepts who he is, and that’s amazing to see.

The Fresh Off the Boat alum used to weigh 300 pounds and lost 130, showcasing his journey on TikTok.

Tammy Slaton is known for her role on the TLC show *1,000-Lb. Sisters*, but she didn’t want to be defined by it for the rest of her life.

In an April 2025 episode of her show, the 38-year-old shared that she’s lost around 500 pounds. She explained that she once weighed over 700 pounds, but now weighs 238 pounds.

She had weight-loss surgery in 2022, and her doctor believes it was the best decision for her health.

In October 2024, Dr. Eric Smith told People magazine that Tammy has been consistently dedicated to adopting a more sustainable lifestyle to get the most out of her surgery. He explained that he stressed the importance of making small changes each day, not just to keep her improving, but to ensure her continued health and success in the long run, noting her genuine commitment to her health journey.

It seems as if every time Jelly Roll hits a red carpet, he’s down a sizable slice of weight.

I’m such a huge fan of Jason DeFord, and I was so inspired by his recent appearance on Pat McAfee’s *Big Night Aht*! He shared that he’s lost an incredible amount of weight – he started at 540 pounds and weighed in at 357 this morning! And get this – he’s determined to lose another 100 pounds so he and his wife can go skydiving in Sweden. It’s amazing to see his dedication and I’m rooting for him all the way!

The artist, who is 6’1”, shared that he had to completely change his approach to food to achieve his goals. In an October 2024 interview on the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast, he explained, “I’ve always believed there’s a strong link between obesity and mental health.” He acknowledged that it’s easy for people to say, ‘Just eat less and exercise more,’ but wished he’d been able to view food that way himself.

Jelly Roll acknowledged that losing weight was still a major challenge, but he was happy to see his new, healthier habits were making a difference.

He explained he’s committed to improving himself, focusing on healthy habits like staying hydrated, cold water immersion, and eating well. He feels he’s making good progress.

Al Roker wasn’t kidding around with the title of his cookbook Recipes to Live By.

After losing 100 pounds through dedication and effort, the longtime TODAY weatherman truly practices what he preaches. He makes sure to get at least 10,000 steps each day, eats a healthy diet, and exercises regularly.

“I always say, ‘something is better than nothing,’” he shared with People magazine in June 2025. “While some people aim for intense fitness like marathons or weightlifting, most just want to be healthy enough to enjoy life more.”

Al Roker had gastric bypass surgery in 2002 as a starting point for getting in shape, but he emphasizes that there’s no quick or easy fix.

Surgery is “not the end,” he advised. “You’re still going to have to put in the work.”

Okay, so everyone remembers Jason Kelce as the incredible football player – especially that ‘tush push’ play! But lately, I’ve been noticing something else: he’s been seriously dedicated to his fitness and is looking *amazing*. He’s really been showing off his physique, and honestly, it’s inspiring to see!

The former NFL player was always physically fit throughout his 13-year career, but he’s currently about 25 pounds lighter than his playing weight. He recently shared at a golf tournament in Philadelphia that he now weighs around 270 pounds, down from his 295-pound playing weight.

Kelce explained that his goal weight of 250 to 260 pounds is part of his plan for life after football. He told GQ in June 2024 that he wants to stay in good shape and maintain his size without needing to have highly defined abs. He wants to remain physically imposing, but also comfortable with his body.

For the dad of four daughters, whose wife is Kylie Kelce, being able to keep up with his children was his biggest priority.

At 277 pounds, he said he’s already feeling relief in his back and knees, and hopes losing another 20 pounds will help him play with his children even more easily.

Moving to Ireland with her family wasn’t just about a fresh environment for Rosie O’Donnell; it really made a difference for her.

In a TikTok video posted in March 2025, she revealed she’d lost weight, explaining it was a side effect of taking Mounjaro for her diabetes.

As a lifestyle expert, I totally get this! I was chatting with a former cohost of *The View* recently, and she shared something so relatable. She was shopping in Dublin, looking for clothes that actually fit, and she confessed she’s always struggled with her weight. She was genuinely surprised – and thrilled! – to find she’s now a large instead of an extra-large or even a double extra-large. It just goes to show how far a little progress can take you, and how amazing it feels to find clothes that fit and flatter!

In 2022, Jazz Jennings began focusing on her health with a diet and exercise plan. Two years later, she shared on Instagram that she was prioritizing self-care after a long period of neglecting her well-being. She admitted she hadn’t been mindful of her eating habits but was now very proud of the weight she’d lost and how much more confident she felt.

In August 2024, Jazz Jennings, star of *I Am Jazz*, revealed she had lost nearly 100 pounds and expressed how proud she was of her achievement.

It turns out Christopher Schwarzenegger is a chip off the ol’ muscly block.

The youngest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver quietly lost 30 pounds, but he’s now returning to a more active lifestyle.

He explained at the first Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in May 2025 that achieving results wasn’t quick, and involved a lot of experimentation. He said simply cutting out bread had a significant impact, but even now, when he compares old and new photos, he doesn’t feel like he’s reached his goal.

Meanwhile, Christopher did not let a certain seven-time Mr. Olympia in on his plan.

In a June 2025 interview with *The Times*, Arnold explained he never directly told his son he needed to lose weight. Instead, they gradually incorporated healthy foods into his diet and encouraged gym visits. Eventually, his son independently decided he wanted to get in shape, and he succeeded. Arnold expressed his pride in his son’s self-discipline and motivation, adding that he always believed the change would have to come from within.

Okay, let’s talk fitness! I’ll be honest, running isn’t my favorite thing – unless there’s a really good reason to pick up the pace! But I *love* strength training. It’s a huge part of how I achieved my 100-pound weight loss, and honestly, it just makes you feel so strong and capable.

In an April 2025 interview with DailyMail.com, the former *This Is Us* star explained that her main goal is to age well and stay strong, and that’s what motivates all of her efforts.

To Metz, aging gracefully means “staying strong and flexible,” so she tries to be active every day.

John Goodman was known for his large size when he played Dan Conner on the show *Roseanne* in the 1990s; he even joked with David Letterman in 2010 that he once weighed close to 400 pounds. However, by the time *The Conners* began in 2018, the character—and Goodman himself—had made some healthy changes.

In 2007, Goodman stopped drinking, which marked the beginning of his journey to improve his health. He enjoyed staying active through boxing and walking his dogs.

In 2010, he told *People* magazine that he was working hard to get in shape, losing around 100 pounds by exercising six days a week and eliminating sugar from his diet, but he was staying calm and collected throughout the process.

Overall, the 6-foot-2 actor has lost about 200 pounds since he was at his peak weight.

In a 2016 interview with ABC News, Goodman explained he simply became exhausted with his own image. He described the feeling of not wanting to even look at himself in the mirror while shaving, saying it reached a point where it felt unsafe.

Oprah Winfrey has been sharing the highs and lows of her weight loss journey for decades.

Oh my gosh, I remember it like it was yesterday! Seeing her roll onto the *Oprah Winfrey Show* stage in 1988 – she literally wheeled out 67 pounds of fat in a wagon! It was so powerful. And it’s not just a one-time thing, you know? She’s *always* been so open about her weight struggles and used her amazing platform to keep the conversation going, even buying into WeightWatchers in 2015. She’s just so inspiring, honestly!

Addressing the current popular topic, Oprah shared in a March 2024 special that, in addition to eating less and exercising, she was using medication to help manage her weight.

“It’s not just one thing,” she said of her secret to staying fit, “it’s multiple things.”

As someone who’s spent years helping people live their best lives, I was so moved by Oprah’s recent special. Her big aim was to finally break down the shame and judgment around weight – not just what we think about *others*, but how we treat *ourselves*. It’s about creating a space where we can stop criticizing anyone for their weight or choices, and just focus on health and self-acceptance.

Lizzo simply wanted to feel better from head to toe.

In a May 2023 TikTok video, the singer explained that she started exercising not to change her body, but to improve her mental well-being. She wanted to feel better about herself and overcome feelings of shame and self-disgust, and she found that exercise helped her change her mindset.

In a TikTok video from January 2025, she shared that she was deliberately trying to lose weight, explaining that her aim was just to improve her overall well-being.

Lizzo explained that even after losing weight, she won’t be considered ‘thin’ by conventional standards. She’ll likely still be classified as morbidly obese according to BMI, and some people online will probably still comment on her body. However, she emphasized that her own happiness is what truly matters.

Just a moment later, the video cut to Lizzo happily announcing that her body fat had decreased by 16 percent and her BMI had dropped by 10.5 points.

She finished with a hopeful message: you’re capable of achieving anything you truly focus on. “And now,” she said, “it’s time to start thinking about what’s next.”
