
Koei Tecmo and Kou Shibusawa have announced a remastered version of *Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8* called *Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake with Power-Up Kit*. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC starting January 29, 2026, in Japan. The full game will cost 10,780 yen, and the *Power-Up Kit* will be sold separately as an upgrade for 4,730 yen.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake with Power-Up Kit introduces the following content:
- New Systems
- Gems – Unlock them to enhance your abilities.
- Turning Points – Build up over time and occur randomly, and have a dramatic effect that can completely reverse the situation.
- Five additional fictional scenarios
- Additional Traits
- User interface improvements
- Significantly improved combat with enhanced tempo
- Algorithm revisions
- A total of over 1,000 officers
- A total of 55 scenarios across all starting years
- Chinese voice-overs
