Francia Raisa Reacts to Selena Gomez’s Wedding to Benny Blanco

There’s no secret life when it comes to Francia Raisa and Selena Gomez.

Shailene Woodley, known for her role on *The Secret Life of the American Teenager*, addressed speculation about a possible falling out with Selena Gomez after Francia Raisa wasn’t listed among the guests at Selena’s wedding to Benny Blanco on September 27th.

Francia confirmed that the wedding is happening, telling Univision’s Primer Impacto that she’s really happy for the bride-to-be.

As someone who follows these stories closely, I’ve been thinking about Francia and Selena’s relationship, especially considering Francia so generously donated a kidney to Selena back in 2017 when Selena was battling Lupus. It’s clear they’ve navigated a lot since then, and I’ve been getting the sense that things are… complicated, to say the least.

Francia explained that the woman has her own life and is already very wealthy. She expressed gratitude for having helped make that possible.

The actress from *How I Met Your Father* has often openly discussed the ups and downs of her friendship with the star of *Wizards of Waverly Place*, but she’s said they always manage to reconnect.

She told TopMob News in 2024 that their mutual support is incredibly important. “We’ve been friends for a long time—we actually met back in 2008—and like any siblings, we have our disagreements, but we always work through them.”

She described a truly special friendship, saying that even after a year of no contact, it feels like no time has passed at all when you reconnect. That, she believes, is what makes a friendship truly meaningful.

Francia explained that there wasn’t a single event that led to their drifting apart; it just happened gradually.

I remember reading in *USA Today* back in 2023 that she said things were never really bad between us. She explained that nothing specific ever happened to cause a falling out, and honestly, if you asked either of us, we couldn’t even pinpoint *why* we drifted apart. We both just felt like we needed some space at the time.

Francia actually appreciated that period of separation, explaining, “Going through that experience helped us both grow, and we’re still rediscovering each other now.”

And when it comes to Francia’s biggest act of friendship?

She explained that after donating a kidney to a girl, people repeatedly asked her if she regretted it. She always responded no, emphasizing that their connection remained strong despite a brief disagreement.

Though Francia and Selena have resolved their issues, other celebrities have openly discussed their disagreements in the past. Read on for more details…

I’ve been following the buzz around Bobby and Tan, and wanted to clear things up. Back in January 2024, Bobby addressed rumors of a disagreement with Tan, which came about two months after he announced he was leaving *Queer Eye* after an amazing eight seasons. It’s always tough to see cast members move on, but it’s good to hear they’re addressing things openly.

He told *Vanity Fair* that he and Tan are doing okay despite a personal issue they’ve been dealing with. He emphasized that the situation is between the two of them and isn’t related to their work on the show, and clarified it wasn’t a romantic matter—something personal had simply been building up.

Okay, so this whole thing has been driving me *crazy*. Apparently, back in March 2024, Tan had to address rumors that he was trying to get Jeremiah Brent onto *Queer Eye* instead of Bobby! Can you believe it? Like, people were saying he was actively campaigning to replace him! It’s just…ugh. I needed to know what happened, and apparently, Tan actually *responded* to those claims. It’s all so dramatic!

Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately landed it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the part by having anyone else removed from consideration, as he explained in an Instagram post.

After years of speculation about a disagreement, Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty’s former co-star on *Charmed*, revealed in a December 2023 podcast episode that Alyssa Milano supposedly gave a show producer an ultimatum: choose her or Shannen. Combs claims this led to Shannen leaving the show in 2001.

In a February 2024 Instagram post, Alyssa stated she couldn’t get anyone fired and claimed that any current accounts of the events were simply inaccurate retellings of something that happened a long time ago.

As a longtime fan, I was so relieved to hear Shannen speak at MegaCon Orlando. She addressed all the rumors and made it very clear – as far as she’s concerned, the stories we all loved are still the truth, and no one is trying to rewrite what actually happened.

Shannen passed away in July 2024 after a yearslong battle with cancer.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that she considered Topher Grace, known for his role in “That ’70s Show,” to be the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a very rude and unpleasant person.

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed annoyed when he was a guest on *The Talk* in 2014, after she mispronounced his name.

She remembered him asking, “Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?” Her response was blunt: “Listen, young man, don’t challenge me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.” She added, “You have no idea who you’re talking to.”

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean, after Brittany posted a video on Instagram. In the video, she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition genders during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, and expressed her enjoyment of a feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure had once refused to pose for a photo with her at a red carpet event. Soon after, Cameron Bure apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was eleven and expressing her remorse for not taking the picture.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday films, she stated it wouldn’t, explaining that the network will continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to the entire LGBTQ+ community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without proper credit. Olivia responded with a message of support, saying “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, thanking Olivia and offering to share the contact information for her favorite florist in London if Olivia messaged her directly.

While on *Watch What Happens Live*, the *Happy Days* actor explained the reason for his difficult relationship with the *Forrest Gump* star while filming the 1989 movie *Turner & Hooch*.

I directed the film for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to pack up and go home, as I had everything I needed with me, he said.

Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along very well. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said.

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”

Those who watched *The Hills* likely recall Lauren’s famous line from the start of season three. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, and it escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler making a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had another public disagreement after the release date for *Fast & Furious 9* was moved to April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced for 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave *Fast 9* if Dwayne Johnson was still involved.

Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing disagreement with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on *The Red Pill* podcast that he still hasn’t spoken directly to Johnson, though they plan to talk. He did mention he had a conversation with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations that were voiced by others connected to the franchise. He explained he was the one who spoke out, and he takes responsibility for that, calling it unprofessional and inappropriate.

No more bad blood here.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were famously feuding for years, and many believed their conflict even sparked Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The disagreement, which began with issues over a shared backup dancer and rivalry during concert tours, finally ended when Katy sent Taylor an actual olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s *Reputation* Tour began.

Okay, you guys, seriously?! I just walked back to my dressing room and there was, like, a REAL olive branch waiting for me! I’m completely losing it right now, it means the absolute world to me! I can’t even explain how much!

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of *Sex and the City*, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed remarks about her co-star.

During a September 2017 episode of *Watch What Happens Live*, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that they had only ever been coworkers, not friends.

She was deeply upset, saying she felt heartbroken. They had talked about it all week, and she explained she was really disturbed because her memory of what happened was completely different.

It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we had. It started as a professional project, but over the years, it became something deeply personal. I’m hoping that those years, and the special connection we all felt, will ultimately be more memorable than any recent disagreements. It was a real privilege to be a part of something so meaningful with so many people.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously told the audience that he disagreed with her being called the best live act, questioning how lip-syncing could be considered a live performance and suggesting that performers who lip-sync during paid concerts shouldn’t be doing so.

The actress, formerly known for her role on *Grey’s Anatomy*, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to no longer be considered for an Emmy Award. She explained that she didn’t think the storylines she was given were strong enough to deserve a nomination.

Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine Heigl’s departure in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on *Oprah’s Next Chapter*. She admitted it was a little hurtful, but not entirely unexpected. “When people show you their true colors, you should believe them,” Shonda explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart and it’s helped me a lot.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week became a major news story. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what caused the argument with Nicki.

Cardi B told W magazine that someone has been repeatedly criticizing her. She explained that she’d talked to this person twice before and thought they had resolved the issue, but the criticism continued.

The conflict really escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly reacted to a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting, though Nicki claims she didn’t actually engage with it.

Cardi B explained she turned down a very profitable Bruno Mars tour because she wanted to be with her daughter. She emphasized how much she loves her daughter and considers herself a great mom. She was upset that someone without children would criticize her choices, especially since opportunities to meet other artists are rare – she won’t likely run into another one at the grocery store or on the street.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They eventually reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included a reference to Taylor.

Just before the Grammy Awards in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”

The supposed rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been talked about for over 15 years. It began during an interview where Mariah was asked about other singers, and when asked about Jennifer, she famously said, “I don’t know her.”
