Taylor Swift Announces Eras Tour Docuseries, Concert Film: The Details

The life of a showgirl never stops.

Just after releasing her twelfth studio album on October 3rd, Taylor Swift announced exciting news for fans: more footage from her Eras Tour is on its way.

Beyond the Eras Tour movie now on Disney+, a new six-part documentary series called *Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era* will offer fans a more personal look at the making of the hugely successful concert tour. The series will feature interviews and footage of the performers, as well as family and friends who were part of the tour, including Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch.

Fans can now experience the final Eras Tour concert in Vancouver, Canada, with the release of *Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show*. This is the first opportunity for those who missed the tour—especially after *The Tortured Poets Department* was added—to watch the complete show.

Taylor shared the news on social media, and it was also announced on *Good Morning America*.

Taylor shared that the album reflects her personal experiences and emotions during the tour, describing that time as full of energy and excitement. She explained this during an August appearance on the New Heights podcast.

She explained that the album’s energy came from a particularly happy and exciting time in her life, and that feeling really shines through in the music.

As a huge fan, it was so interesting to hear Taylor explain that this album really captured what she was *feeling* while on tour. She described it as a time that was incredibly energetic, exciting, and full of life – and she poured all of that inner experience into the music. It feels so much more personal knowing that!

She explained that the album’s energy came from a really happy and exciting time in her life, and that feeling is definitely reflected in the music.

And in turn, releasing the album has also been a top experience.

She described the album as her favorite release yet, saying she was ‘blown away’ and that it had been the most joyful album launch of her career. She shared this during an October 8th interview on *Late Night With Seth Meyers*.

Taylor seems especially happy right now, likely because she and Travis Kelce just announced their engagement a little over a month ago. She’s been happily sharing details about the proposal and their upcoming wedding in recent interviews.

Taylor Swift recently shared with Graham Norton that she and her fiancé, NFL player Travis Kelce, are planning a very large wedding. She mentioned this during an appearance on his show on October 3rd.

Taylor shared her excitement, saying she anticipates the wedding planning will be enjoyable. She believes weddings are only stressful when the guest list is tight and there’s uncertainty about who to invite.

Instead of having to “evaluate or assess” any relationships, Taylor will be sending out many RSVPs.

The Grammy-winning artist happily shares details about her engagement ring and how excited she is about it.

Taylor shared on the *Heart Breakfast Show* on October 3rd that the piece was designed with a fantastic jeweler named Kindred Lubreck, who hand-engraves all of her gold work.

Taylor admitted she didn’t have a specific idea of what her engagement ring would be like, but she thought Travis’ choice was perfect.

She described feeling understood, saying, “It felt like he truly knew what I wanted, even before I did. It was surprisingly impressive.”

It was especially meaningful that Taylor chose Kindred as the designer, considering she’d shown Travis a video of their work a year before.

She immediately recognized the ring and was certain who had created it. She also added, with emphasis, that she wanted to be heard.

Want to know more about Taylor and Travis’s wedding plans? Here are some of the details they’ve revealed.

It’s hard to imagine Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce having a wedding on just any day. It would likely be on a date that’s significant to them, or at least to Taylor.

Taylor Swift, a known enthusiast of numbers and dates, shared her love of numerology on the August 13th episode of the New Heights podcast. Her two-hour appearance came 13 days before she and Travis Kelce announced their engagement. However, Travis’s father mentioned they had actually told close friends and family about their relationship three days earlier. Swift simply said she finds this kind of thing ‘really fun.’

Travis is turning 36 on October 5th, and his decision about whether to continue playing football after his current contract ends in 2025 will influence when he and his partner get married. If he doesn’t retire, they plan to have their wedding during the off-season, sometime between February after the Super Bowl and the start of training camp in July.

If Travis retires after 13 seasons—which is hard to believe—he’ll be able to get married, possibly in October, Taylor’s favorite month. The exact timing will depend on when Taylor announces a tour for her new album, *The Life of a Showgirl*. Her 12th studio album comes out October 3rd, and she typically reveals tour dates about a month after releasing a new album (not a re-recording).

Taylor Swift is famous for her close group of friends, but she revealed in October 2025 that she hasn’t even started planning a bachelorette party for herself.

She confessed on Heart radio that, surprisingly, she’d never dreamed about her wedding growing up. ‘I honestly never gave any thought to what I’d want until I met the person I wanted to marry,’ she said.

I hadn’t given any thought to having a hen do – it’s only just crossed my mind, actually.

Plus, she added of her gal pals, “They’re so fun but they’re so busy.”

When Taylor picks out a white dress, it’s going to be one to remember.

Ignoring the cost of her clothes and jewelry, the singer’s style is comfortably stylish. She favors timeless looks with a modern edge, often choosing designs from established brands like Oscar de la Renta, Elie Saab, Louis Vuitton, Zuhair Murad, and J. Mendel – all designers she’s worn for years.

After the ceremony, where she’ll wear a beautiful gown to say her vows, the tall bride – she’s 5-foot-10 – plans to change into a more comfortable dress so she can dance all night.

We’re excited to see how she incorporates the traditional wedding elements – something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.

Travis is also into fashion, so he’s excited to have fun choosing his wedding suit – he’s open to anything!

He proposed while wearing shorts – it was a hot August day in Kansas, after all – and people online jokingly challenged him to wear equally stylish shorts for his wedding. However, he probably wouldn’t want to make such a bold fashion statement and risk overshadowing his partner, who will be wearing a beautiful dress.

Although, if showing off his knees was important to him…

I remember reading Taylor’s interview with Cosmopolitan back in 2012, and it really stuck with me. She was so clear about what she wanted in a relationship – she didn’t want a guy who felt like an afterthought! She specifically said she wanted to make sure her future husband wouldn’t feel like his presence even mattered, and I think that meant she didn’t want to plan everything down to the last detail, like picking out his tux before he even proposed. It was a really sweet and honest thing to say.

Taylor and Travis both value family above all else, so their parents and brothers will definitely be special guests at the wedding. Jason Kelce, likely to be Travis’s best man, shares two young daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte, with his wife Kylie. Depending on the wedding date, his younger daughter Bennett might also be a flower girl. However, the youngest, baby Finnley, will probably be too young to participate.

It will be interesting to see which of Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates are invited, but he was a groomsman at Patrick Mahomes’ wedding in 2022, so we know at least one teammate will be there. Plus, he’s maintained a close group of friends from his high school days in Cleveland Heights, meaning his bachelor party – filled with golf and beer – is going to be a lot of fun.

Taylor Swift’s childhood friend, Abigail Anderson, has been a constant presence in her life. Selena Gomez remains a close friend, still part of Taylor’s inner circle, as are Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, despite recent rumors about a falling out connected to Lively’s legal issues.

Also, Taylor is already like a godmother to Blake and Ryan’s daughters, so she’s a natural fit to be a flower girl.

On the September 17th episode of New Heights, Travis shared his preference for live music, saying, “I think we’re just people who enjoy a band over a DJ, you know?”

Ugh, we knew it, we’re so on the same page.

Even if the bride doesn’t perform, she has many talented friends who are great singers. We’re particularly hoping to see Haim take the stage!

But Taylor joked it “would be hard to keep” Ed Sheeran from performing at her wedding.

She explained in an October 2025 interview with Hits Radio that Ed Sheeran is a natural performer. She said, ‘It feels inevitable that he’ll be on stage if there’s one available.’ She added that he understands his audience and is dedicated to giving them what they enjoy.

Taylor may love Travis so much she’d marry him with paper rings, but that won’t be the case.

If Travis continues to play sports, he might wear a flexible wedding band, but otherwise, he’s settled on the Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond ring he chose for his future wife, designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.

The ring has a long, central diamond with smaller diamonds on either side, all set in yellow gold that’s been specially engraved. It perfectly complements the $27,300 Cartier watch he used when he proposed.

Just how massive will this white veil occasion be?

Comedian Nikki Glaser, a self-proclaimed Taylor Swift fan, believes a large wedding is coming for the singer. She told TopMob News at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, “It has to be – everything so far has been building to this moment.”

The comedian pointed out that because Taylor Swift is constantly in the spotlight – essentially treated like a bride every day – her wedding will probably be kept very private.

Nikki said she knows the person just wants to share the happy occasion with everyone they care about, and they have a large circle of friends and family. She jokingly predicted that someone will likely try to spoil the fun by taking photos from a helicopter overhead.

As soon as the wedding is over and the couple drives away, Taylor will definitely begin sharing photos and details from her special day with her fans.
