Kirsten Storms is sharing an update on her health battle.
General Hospital actress, who had taken a break from the show, recently revealed she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm in January and will soon have surgery. A brain aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel that can be dangerous if it ruptures, according to the National Library of Medicine. This diagnosis came three years after she had surgery to remove a cyst from her brain.
I had a scan in January because I was experiencing symptoms that doctors were concerned might be related to my brain,” Storms shared on Instagram on October 13th. “Honestly, I was completely shocked when they told me they’d found an aneurysm on the right side of my brain – I immediately started cracking jokes to cope with the news.
Unfortunately, doctors were not able to immediately treat the aneurysm after discovering it.
I had a procedure where doctors inserted a tiny camera, guiding it from my leg all the way to my brain, explained the 41-year-old. Because of a somewhat unusual aneurysm – it wasn’t dangerous, just not standard – they weren’t able to treat it with coils during that procedure.
While preparing for a minimally invasive procedure to treat an aneurysm—which involves blocking blood flow to the affected area—the former *Days of Our Lives* actress is finding strength and comfort in her family and friends, including her colleague Emme Rylan.
I’m in St. Louis with Emme, and we’re having fun crocheting sweaters. I’m also waiting to hear when my medical procedure will be scheduled – they’re hoping to do it within the next two weeks.

The former star of *Zenon* also revealed she received another diagnosis alongside the aneurysm, and this health crisis led her to decide to move away from California.
After a scan in January revealed a tiny cyst on her brain stem, she knew she needed to make some immediate changes to her life. Leaving Los Angeles was particularly important to her for personal reasons.
She explained the decision was primarily about her daughter, Harper – who is eleven years old and shares a father with her ex, Brandon Barash – but also about prioritizing her own well-being and happiness.
In this new chapter, she’s learning to block out the noise, including rumors about her health.
It’s true that you sometimes encounter difficult people, but I’m incredibly grateful for the good ones in my life. Just recently, a friend and I spent a lot of time making sweaters together, and they turned out amazing!

Former *Total Bellas* star Nikki Bella shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit during an elbow strike from wrestler Piper Niven in a match that took place in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, saying they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as she finished her current commitment, she’d return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, because she anticipated needing to look good for future opportunities and didn’t want it to appear neglected.

I was so shocked to learn that Lupita Nyong’o received her uterine fibroids diagnosis back in 2014 – the very same year she won her Oscar for *12 Years a Slave*! These fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in or around the uterus, and it’s just incredible how she navigated that while achieving such a huge milestone in her career.
She didn’t reveal her diagnosis until 2025, when she shared on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.
She explained that girls are often taught to expect pain with their periods and to accept it as a normal part of womanhood. This leaves many of us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from *Daisy Jones & The Six* revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.
She messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “You haven’t tweeted in a while!” Then, jokingly, she added, “Have you ever thought maybe I wore pants so tight six months ago that I got a hernia and I’ve been too afraid to mention it?”

The former star of *Beverly Hills, 90210* shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery to repair a nearly ruptured appendix.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain, which led him to the emergency room. He explained that his appendix had a hole in it – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

After receiving initial medical attention on the field, Savannah was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, the National Women’s Soccer League announced on X. They reported that she is currently in stable condition and is alert.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from a childhood accident – he was hit by a cement truck at age 11 – continue to bother him now.
“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the *In Depth With Graham Bensinger* podcast in 2025. “I experience spasms throughout my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the last year, actually.”
He explained that his pain is intermittent, and mentioned having some physical imperfections and minor health issues.

A former contestant on *The Bachelor* had to be hospitalized after experiencing severe back pain. He described having to crawl to get help, and said the pain worsened during a road trip with a friend.
He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his knees and toes as of a March 2025 podcast episode of *Trading Secrets*. To illustrate the issue, he explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds. Now, he can’t even do a squat, struggles with single-leg squats, and falls over, comparing the feeling to having had a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

The comedian later posted on social media to explain that he hadn’t been feeling well due to food poisoning, but was now recovering.

In February 2025, the former *Even Stevens* star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a trip to go clay pigeon shooting when the incident occurred.
I was at a party when someone accidentally shot me in the face while firing a gun unsafely. Thankfully, @thebrendanrooney quickly helped me and got me to the hospital. I was hit five times, and one bullet came dangerously close to my right eye – less than an inch away.
The former *Kim Possible* star shared that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, but they’re keeping a close watch on the situation. Thankfully, their vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that she realized how precious life is. She urged everyone to hug their loved ones often, because things can change unexpectedly.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always amazed by how we can use resources around us to improve our wellbeing. Recently, Amy Schumer shared a really interesting story about how the internet actually *helped* her get a crucial health answer. She noticed people commenting on her appearance after doing some press, and honestly, she initially brushed it off. But then, doctors started leaving comments, genuinely concerned that she might have Cushing syndrome – a condition involving high cortisol levels, potentially caused by steroid injections. It made her realize she *had* been getting steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section! She wouldn’t have connected the dots without those online comments. Thankfully, it turned out to be a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, and she’s incredibly grateful to be healthy. It just goes to show you, sometimes good can come from unexpected places – even the internet! It’s a reminder to trust your instincts and investigate anything that feels off, and to appreciate the power of community, even a digital one.

During a game in December 2024, an AHL player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald shared with ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin. She suddenly began having stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to respond when Justin asked if she was alright. She then realized she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face started to droop.
Although the symptoms eventually passed, Hailey went to the hospital and tests revealed she’d had a small blood clot in her brain, diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA discovered a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled through this hole and to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on *Good Morning America* that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that it had been a frightening experience, but he was going to be okay.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had previously kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, *What Had Happened Was…*, he explained that he suffered from a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. Before he could even take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next twenty days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, twenty days later on May 4th, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for all the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running in the first challenge of the NBC competition show, describing the experience as feeling like ‘dying’.
She shared on the show *Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser* that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, she remembered only darkness, followed by light, leading her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing and she hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially begins to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in *Game of Thrones*, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for *The New Yorker*. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden and severe headache while at the gym, followed by intense pain and vomiting. She quickly realized something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she temporarily lost her ability to speak, often muttering incoherently.
Though she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, leading to a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently expressed her gratitude for her family’s support after she suffered a stroke in January 2024. She shared that she’s regained most of her motor skills and is doing great overall.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, debilitating fatigue, and persistent stomach pain. She described a confusing process of receiving conflicting diagnoses from various doctors. Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has a background in herbalism, sought help from both traditional doctors and alternative healers. This search for well-being lasted for ten years. The physical discomfort led to emotional challenges, including fear of food and struggles with body image and identity. Ultimately, Woodley was able to resolve her health issues and is now feeling very healthy and happy.
