Vera Wang Shares Prediction on Taylor Swift’s Wedding Dress Style

Vera Wang believes this showgirl will have her loved ones seeing double. 

With Taylor Swift hinting at wedding plans with Travis Kelce, a leading bridal designer has shared their thoughts on what her wedding dress might look like.

Vera, 76, shared with TopMob News at The DKMS 19th Annual Gala on October 14th that she wasn’t surprised by the engagement news in August and was thrilled for the couple. She jokingly predicted the bride-to-be wouldn’t choose just one wedding dress.

The stylist predicts Taylor, age 35, will showcase her affection through a variety of materials, but designer Christian Siriano thinks the *Midnights* singer will stand out with a single, bold print.

At the same event, the 39-year-old noted, “Taylor, I think, will be in lace of some sort.”

The Grammy-winning artist has frequently worn sheer, mesh fabrics in her outfits over the past ten years, including on dates with Travis. For example, when she went to New Orleans to cheer on Travis at the 2025 Super Bowl in February, she wore a black lace dress with bold heels and her trademark red lipstick.

Three months before that, Taylor wore a lace corset top with a pleated skirt while out with her partner in New York City.

Taylor Swift hasn’t shared details about the fabric or overall style of her wedding dress yet. However, she has said she and Travis Kelce don’t want a very small wedding – they’re planning for a good-sized guest list.

She shared her excitement on The Graham Norton Show on October 3rd, saying she thinks wedding planning will be enjoyable. She believes weddings are only stressful when budgets are tight and there’s uncertainty about who to invite.

Okay, so it all started back in July 2023! Taylor was performing at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City – her Eras Tour was *amazing*, obviously – and that’s when it all began with Travis Kelce. I just *knew* something special was happening when she was in Kansas City, and it was him! It was the start of everything!

Being a big fan of Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his jersey number on it during the concert. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to reach her because she was busy preparing for the show.

Travis explained on his podcast, *New Heights*, that he was a little upset Taylor Swift didn’t talk much before or after her concerts. He understood she needed to protect her voice for the 44 songs she performs, but he was hoping to give her one of the friendship bracelets he’d made.

After jokingly talking about dropping the football – something he’d later call incredibly cool – Travis decided to take a chance and invited the famous singer to come watch the Chiefs play at their home stadium, Arrowhead.

He explained on *The Pat McAfee Show* that he playfully challenged Taylor Swift. He basically said he’d seen her perform amazingly at Arrowhead Stadium and suggested she come see *him* perform there to compare whose show is more exciting. He hinted that something might happen soon.

Travis had grown a mustache, first showing it off in August during football training camp, when he met Taylor for the first time.

He later recalled that his mustache and number 87 jersey were a memorable look during that time, and he was sporting them when he first met Taylor.

According to a source with inside knowledge, Travis and Taylor began communicating via text and phone calls around the beginning of September, according to TopMob News.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Taylor accepted Travis’ invitation and went to Arrowhead Stadium to watch him and the Kansas City Chiefs play the Chicago Bears, accompanied by his mother, Donna Kelce. After the game, Taylor and Travis were photographed showing affection for each other at a nearby bar.

Despite rumors that they first met in person at the time, the singer of “Karma” later explained that she and the other person had actually known each other for quite a while before that.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show how serious things were getting, Taylor brought a group of her close friends – including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski – to see the Chiefs play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Taylor Swift seems to be getting close to Brittany Mahomes, wife of Travis Kelce’s best friend and teammate, Patrick Mahomes, both at and away from football games. This could be another indication that Taylor and Travis are a couple.

The couple publicly showcased their relationship with a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live on October 14th. They continued their New York outing with the show’s after-party and a romantic dinner at the Waverly Inn.

Okay, so during Taylor’s break from touring, she went to Argentina, and guess who showed up?! Travis! He flew all the way there to support her during the South American leg of the Eras Tour! It was EVERYTHING. Not only did he hang out with Taylor’s dad, Scott – seriously, they seemed to hit it off! – but Taylor actually *acknowledged* him from the stage! Can you believe it? It was the sweetest, most amazing thing ever, and I literally screamed when I saw the pictures and videos. I knew they were meant to be!

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, Taylor Swift reportedly rushed backstage to meet Travis Kelce, where she enthusiastically kissed him.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She told *Time* magazine that she’s excited to support him doing what he’s passionate about, and they’re both there for each other, not worrying about who else is around. It’s the complete opposite of having to go to great lengths to keep a relationship secret.

 

The famous singer made Travis’ game on December 17th a family event, bringing her father along to support her boyfriend.

Taylor and Travis rang in the New Year together, and shared a kiss at midnight on January 1st.

Taylor continued getting to know Travis’ family and spent time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and Jason’s wife, Kylie, at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills.

After the Chiefs won the AFC Championship and secured their place in the 2024 Super Bowl, Taylor joined Travis on the field to celebrate. They shared a kiss and told each other ‘I love you’.

“Tay, I’m gonna enjoy with the guys,” he told her. “I love you—so much it’s not funny.”

 
 

After Travis helped the Kansas City Chiefs win on February 11, 2024, in Las Vegas, he and his partner shared a kiss on the field.

On February 12th, Taylor shared a video of Travis on social media, jokingly showing how she brought her parents to a club with him after the Super Bowl.

Taylor Swift’s first Instagram post with Travis Kelce showed the two of them posing with Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The photo was taken backstage at Swift’s Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium in London.

Okay, so I was at *the* Eras Tour – my seventh show, can you believe it?! – and it was in London, Wembley Stadium again! It was already amazing, but then… THEN Taylor brought Travis Kelce onstage with her! He came out during ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’ and was basically a backup performer! I almost lost it, honestly. It was the most surreal, perfect moment ever. I’m still screaming internally!

Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ first game of the 2024-25 season and seemed to recreate a sweet moment with Travis Kelce that fans first saw in October 2023. The photo was shared by Chariah Gordon, who is pictured with her boyfriend, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

I was in New York City recently for a beautiful wedding – it was a real honor to be there for Karen Elson as she married Lee Foster, who owns the legendary Electric Lady Studios. Such a lovely event!

The next day, the pair attended the men’s singles final match at the U.S. Open.

The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.

The couple had two dates in New York City over the weekend before the new year, and they coordinated their outfits for both.

They spent the NFL off-season together, taking a snowy trip to Montana with sportscaster Erin Andrews.

In July 2025, Travis shared the first photos of him and Taylor together on Instagram. One cute picture, taken during dinner, also showed that they had set their phone lock screens to photos of each other.
