Gem Crafting is a very handy feature for your gear progression in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
This feature is a Life Skill that lets you refine raw gems into polished ones. You can then add these polished gems to your gear to boost your stats and become more powerful!
In this quick guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to get started with Gem Crafting.
How to Use Gem Crafting | Blue Protocol: Star Resonance
Before you can use Gem Crafting, you need to learn the corresponding Life Skill. You can find and select “Life Skill” from the main in-game menu to get started.
Next, select Gemcrafting and confirm you want to unlock it. This will begin a brief tutorial. Completing the tutorial permanently unlocks this skill for your character.
After completing that step, return to the Life Skill menu and unlock Gemstone Processing Mastery under Gemcrafting. This is required before you can craft any gems.
I’ve been getting really into gemcrafting, and honestly, I’d also suggest learning gemology if you’re thinking about it! Like they said before when talking about essential life skills, the two really go together. You need to know about gems to *get* the gems you need for crafting!
Once you’ve completed the initial setup, simply locate Hamilton at the Artisan Guild in Asterleeds. Speak with him and choose the Gemcrafting option to begin crafting.
This tool lets you transform rough gems into polished, cut gems. These cut gems can then be added to your equipment to boost your stats.
It’s helpful to understand what each gem does. Knowing this lets you focus on learning only the skills you need, and skip those related to gems you won’t use. Here’s a breakdown of what each basic gem offers:
- Ruby – Grants Crit.
- Sapphire – Grants Haste.
- Emerald – Grants Mastery.
- Diamond – Grants Luck.
After you’ve collected some gems, head to Maxim. You can find him at the Artisan Guild. When you speak with him, choose the ‘Embed’ option.
After that, you just choose which piece of equipment to put each gem into. It’s really that easy!
Keep in mind that once you’ve embedded a gem, you can’t get it back. You can only swap it for a different one. If you take the item apart, the embedded gem will be destroyed.
That’s everything you need to start using Gem Crafting in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance! Use it to make your equipment even stronger.
