Battlefield 6 Guide – How To Progress Mastery

Okay, so I finally hit Career Rank 50 in *Battlefield 6*, and it looks like things are changing! We can still keep leveling up our Career Rank way beyond 50, but just hitting a new level won’t unlock stuff anymore. Instead, we’ll need to really focus on getting better with each class, weapon, and vehicle to unlock things. Plus, there are Badges and these cool Accolade Dog Tags to earn as we master everything. It’s less about just grinding levels and more about actually *getting good* now, which I think is awesome!

This guide for Battlefield 6 is an explainer on why and how to increase Mastery levels.

Career Rank 52-100

Starting at Career Rank 52, you’ll receive new cosmetic items like weapon stickers, charms, and vehicle decals every two ranks. While these unlocks stop at Rank 100, you can keep playing to earn XP and increase your Career Rank beyond that.

Class And Weapon Assignment Masteries

Reaching Career Rank 20 opens up Class Assignments, letting you start earning unique Gadgets, Training options, and more Loadout Slots specifically for your chosen class.

Assault

  • Deploy Beacon Gadget
  • Incendiary Round Shotgun Gadget
  • Flanker Training
  • Grenadier Training Path
  • Loadout Slot

Engineer

  • Vehicle Supply Crate Gadget
  • Aim Guided Launcher Gadget
  • Combat Engineer Training
  • Combat Engineer Training Path
  • Loadout Slot

Recon

  • Demolition Charge Gadget
  • Tracer Dart Gadget
  • Spec Ops Training
  • Pathfinder Training Path
  • Loadout Slot

Support

  • Smoke Grenade Launcher Gadget
  • Incendiary Airburst Launcher Gadget
  • Supply Pouch Gadgets
  • Fire Support Training
  • Fire Support Training Path
  • Loadout Slot

Okay, so I finally hit Career Rank 23, and that’s when things got really interesting! I started unlocking new weapons by completing special challenges – they call them Weapon Assignments. Here’s what I’ve unlocked so far:

  • Kird 6P67 Assault Rifle
  • NVO-228E Assault Rifle
  • L85AE Assault Rifle
  • QBZ-192 Carbine Rifle
  • SG 553R Carbine Rifle
  • SWC-10 Submachine Gun
  • SL9 Submachine Gun
  • KTS100 MK8 Light Machine Gun
  • M240L Light Machine Gun
  • 18.5KS-K Shotgun
  • SVDM Designated Marksman Rifle
  • MRAD Sniper Rifle

You can finish both sets of Assignments simply by playing the game, even on custom servers while using XP boosts.

Hardware Mastery

Weapons and vehicles each have their own unique ways to earn experience and unlock improvements. These improvements include both upgrades that change how they work and cosmetic items like camouflage patterns.

Ranged weapons can be customized with different attachments, and there are also pre-made versions called Weapon Packages that come with specific setups already applied.

Once unlocked with enough Hardware XP, players can customize their vehicles by changing their hardpoints and skins.

You earn Hardware XP simply by using weapons and vehicles in battle, and it increases at the same time as your Career Rank. However, fully mastering your hardware will take much more effort than increasing your Career Rank, as it depends on getting kills.

Accolade Dog Tags And Badges

There are still Accolade Dog Tags and Badges left to earn. Dog Tags are accessories you get for finishing specific challenges in the game, and they also give you extra Career Rank XP. These tags come in three levels – Metal, Bronze, and Gold – which show how hard the challenges are.

Players earn badges by completing challenges related to classes and equipment, and these badges contribute to their overall rating. There are 212 equipment badges, earned through mastering weapons and vehicles, plus 16 more available by finishing class assignments.

Earning Hardware Badges increases your Hardware Rank. There are five levels to this rank.

  • Bronze: Hardware Rank 10
  • Silver: Hardware Rank 20
  • Gold: Hardware Rank 30
  • Platinum: Hardware Rank 40
  • Elite (Red and Black): Hardware Rank 50

You get Accolade Dog Tags and Badges by regularly using the specific class, weapon, or vehicle they represent.

Getting every weapon and vehicle fully upgraded will take a lot of time and effort. The fastest way to do it is to play on servers with small maps and mostly bots, so you can quickly earn a lot of kills.

That is everything there is to know about completing Mastery progression in Battlefield 6.
