The co-op game RV There Yet? launched on Steam at 8 AM EDT and has quickly gained popularity, with player numbers steadily increasing even during typical work hours in the U.S. This, combined with a large number of pre-launch wishlists, suggests the game has a bright future. However, recent Steam releases have demonstrated that a high number of players doesn’t automatically guarantee success.
Just hours after its release, RV There Yet? is getting mostly positive reviews. Players seem to be having fun with the game’s physics-based challenges, which are similar to those found in the survival game Peak. It supports cooperative play with up to four players, and reviews highlight its humor and chaotic gameplay. One player summed it up by saying they “grabbed the dart board and flew into space while smoking a cigarette,” and enthusiastically recommended the game.

However, a road closure forces you to take a detour through the countryside, where you’ll have to struggle to survive. As you explore, you’ll find helpful items, but you’ll also need to manage the environment, fend off wildlife, and stay fed to survive. The game uses proximity chat, so it’ll be harder to communicate with friends when you’re far apart—which, based on my experience, can make things really challenging. Currently, there’s only one map, and it may take many attempts with your friends to escape.
You can get RV There Yet? on PC through Steam. It normally costs $7.99, but right now it’s 10% off for a limited time, until October 28th. The game is fully released, not in early access, and the developers are planning to add even more features in the future. Players seem to be having fun with the game as it is now!
