Brand-New Game from Former Goat Simulator & Valheim Devs Could Be the Next Peak

Playing games with others is hugely popular on Steam – it’s always more fun with friends! While many gamers enjoy shooters like Battlefield 6, Steam offers a lot more than just first-person shooters and massive online role-playing games. Recently, the hilarious and challenging mountain climbing game Peak became a big hit. Now, there’s a new game with a similar, exciting feel that players are starting to enjoy.

Nuggets Entertainment, a new game studio founded by developers formerly of Coffee Stain, is launching its first game, RV There Yet? The team behind popular titles like Deep Rock Galactic, Valheim, and Goat Simulator just announced the co-op game last week, and it’s already gained over 300,000 wishlists on Steam. RV There Yet? officially releases on October 21st and is generating excitement as a potential hit, similar to the game Peak.

RV There Yet? Hits Mostly Positive on Steam Shortly After Launch

The co-op game RV There Yet? launched on Steam at 8 AM EDT and has quickly gained popularity, with player numbers steadily increasing even during typical work hours in the U.S. This, combined with a large number of pre-launch wishlists, suggests the game has a bright future. However, recent Steam releases have demonstrated that a high number of players doesn’t automatically guarantee success.

Just hours after its release, RV There Yet? is getting mostly positive reviews. Players seem to be having fun with the game’s physics-based challenges, which are similar to those found in the survival game Peak. It supports cooperative play with up to four players, and reviews highlight its humor and chaotic gameplay. One player summed it up by saying they “grabbed the dart board and flew into space while smoking a cigarette,” and enthusiastically recommended the game.

Nuggets Entertainment’s new game, RV There Yet, has a straightforward idea: you’re trying to get home from vacation with friends. However, a road closure forces you to take a detour through the countryside, where you’ll have to struggle to survive. Just looking at the game’s page, it’s clear it shares some of the appeal of Peak. The game’s physics create both challenging and funny moments, as your character or the entire RV can tumble into the wilderness.

As you explore, you’ll find helpful items, but you’ll also need to manage the environment, fend off wildlife, and stay fed to survive. The game uses proximity chat, so it’ll be harder to communicate with friends when you’re far apart—which, based on my experience, can make things really challenging. Currently, there’s only one map, and it may take many attempts with your friends to escape.

You can get RV There Yet? on PC through Steam. It normally costs $7.99, but right now it’s 10% off for a limited time, until October 28th. The game is fully released, not in early access, and the developers are planning to add even more features in the future. Players seem to be having fun with the game as it is now!

So, I’m really curious – is anyone else planning on checking out RV There Yet? I’d love to hear what you think! Let’s chat about it over on the ComicBook Forum – come join the discussion!
