Alec Baldwin’s Daughter Ireland Slams “Poisonous” Family Members

Ireland Baldwin is making some changes as she enters a new decade.

Just before turning 30 on October 23rd, Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger’s daughter shared a blog post called “30, Flirty and Surviving.” In it, she explained that she had cut off contact with certain family members.

In a recent message to her readers, Ireland shared that she’s entering her thirties feeling lighter and freer. She explained this was because she’s stopped trying to support family members who were emotionally draining and struggled with addiction, realizing she didn’t need to carry that burden anymore.

Ireland described her childhood after her parents’ 2002 divorce as lonely. She said she used to feel she had to impress some family members, but she stopped trying to do that over time.

She explained that recognizing how harmful these people were felt incredibly liberating. As she enters her thirties, she understands this is the key to ending these patterns.

Ireland, who has a two-year-old daughter named Holland with musician RAC, explained that becoming a mother also motivated her to set clearer boundaries in her relationships.

She believed she could shield her daughter from these individuals and create the family she wanted, building it carefully and demonstrating how a loving family should behave.

TopMob News has reached out to Alec and Kim’s respective reps for comment but has not heard back.

Alec and his ex-wife had a contentious divorce in the early 2000s, and their fight over custody of their daughter, Ireland, lasted for years. A particularly harsh voicemail from 2007 surfaced online, where Alec called his daughter names, but he quickly apologized for his hurtful words.

Over time, Alec Baldwin and his daughter have built a strong and positive relationship. Ireland Baldwin has often praised Alec’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin – with whom he has seven children – for helping them connect and grow closer.

In a September Instagram post, she shared that Hilaria is the reason she has such a strong bond with her father. She also expressed gratitude for Hilaria bringing her the large family and siblings she’d always dreamed of, adding that Hilaria has consistently been respectful, accepting, kind, and supportive of her, flaws and all.

Alec Baldwin, the Emmy-winning actor whose full name is Alexander Rae Baldwin III, was born on April 3, 1958. His parents are Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr. and Carol Newcomb, and he is one of six children, being the oldest brother.

The Baldwin brothers were born over a six-year span, starting with Daniel on October 5, 1960. William, known as Billy, followed on February 21, 1963, and Stephen, the youngest, was born on May 12, 1966.

Elizabeth “Beth” Baldwin Keuchler, born in 1955, is the oldest of six children. She and her husband, Charles Keuchler, a landscape architect, have six children together.

Jane Baldwin Sasso, born in 1965, is the fifth of six people listed. She is married to Randy Sasso and is said to have two children.

Carol’s father died in 1983 at age 55. She herself lived a long life, surviving breast cancer in 1991 and passing away on May 26, 2022, at the age of 92. She leaves behind a legacy of 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and the Carol cancer research foundation she established.

Alec shared that his mother believed in new beginnings. He wrote a tribute after her death saying she embraced life and dedicated the last 25 years to passionately fighting for a cause she deeply cared about.

Alec was married to Oscar winner Kim Basinger from 1993 until 2002.

Their daughter Ireland Baldwin was born Oct. 23. 1995.

Alec married Hilaria Baldwin (née Thomas) on June 30, 2012.

They are now parents to seven children: daughters Carmen Gabriela (born August 23, 2013), María Lucía Victoria (born February 25, 2021), and Ilaria Catalina Irena (born September 22, 2022), and sons Rafael Thomas (born June 17, 2015), Leonardo Ángel Charles (born September 12, 2016), Romeo Alejandro David (born May 17, 2018), and Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas (born September 8, 2020).

Ireland and musican RAC (André Allen Anjos) welcomed daughter Holland in May 2023.

Daniel shares daughter Kahlea, born in 1984, with first wife Cheryl. They divorced in 1989.

The actor has a daughter, Alexandra, with his second wife, Elizabeth. They were married from 1990 to 1996.

Daniel and Isabella Hoffman, who both appeared on Homicide: Life on the Street, were together from 1996 to 2005 and have a son named Atticus Baldwin.

Daniel was married to model Joanne Smith from 2007 to 2012.

They share daughters Avis, born Jan. 17, 2008, and Finley, who arrived Aug. 7, 2009. 

Daniel married D’Asia Bellamy on New Year’s Eve in 2022, and they had a son, William “Bat” Baldwin, on June 1st, 2023.

Billy has been married to singer Chynna Phillips, who comes from a large and complex family, since September 9, 1995.

Jameson was born on February 27, 2000, followed by her brother Vance in 2001, and their sister Brooke in 2004, completing the family.

Billy shared on October 3, 2019, that Vance received a cancer diagnosis a year earlier and had completed 28 chemotherapy treatments.

His dad described his teen son as remarkably resilient, saying he remained positive, focused, and maintained a normal routine throughout everything. He praised his son as being smart, hilarious, incredibly tough, and having a kind heart.

Chynna commented, “Our baby. Our hero.”

On the anniversary of his diagnosis, Vance shared on social media, according to USA Today, that he had been cancer-free for several months.
