7 Essential Sci-Fi & Fantasy Shows Releasing In November You Need To Watch

Wow, 2025 was an incredible year for sci-fi and fantasy! I was completely hooked on shows like Severance, the third season of The Wheel of Time, The Last of Us season 2, Squid Game season 3, Alien Earth, and Gen V – there were so many great options! But honestly, it feels like the best is still coming. November is packed with amazing new shows and returning favorites, and I’ve put together a list of 7 that I absolutely can’t wait to watch next month.

7. Pluribus – Apple TV

Apple TV+’s new series, Pluribus, begins our list with a fascinating premise: Carol (Rhea Seehorn) realizes everyone around her is living in a manufactured state of happiness and tries to wake them up. As Carol grows more and more annoyed by their blissful ignorance – and their attempts to ‘fix’ her – her frustration intensifies.

Pluribus reunites fans with Seehorn and Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, making it a highly anticipated series, especially given its intriguing concept. The show premieres on Apple TV on November 7th with the first two episodes of its nine-episode season, and Apple TV has already renewed it for two more seasons.

6. Bat-Fam – Prime Video

Amazon’s Prime Video is heavily invested in Batman stories. While the second season of Batman: Caped Crusader isn’t coming for a bit, a brand new Batman series, Bat-Fam, will be available soon. This animated show focuses on Batman, his son Damian (who everyone calls Little Batman), and Alfred as they navigate life and adventures together in the now-bustling Wayne Manor.

On November 10th, Prime Video will release Bat-Fam, a show that expands the world of Batman beyond the core trio. The Wayne Manor is now home to new characters like Alicia, Alfred’s grand niece, and even reformed villains such as Ra’s al Ghul, Man-Bat, and Claire. Think of it as a blend of Full House and The Dark Knight – it promises to be a wildly entertaining watch for any DC Comics fan.

5. Outlander Season 8 – Starz

It looks like 2025 will be a year for TV series to wrap up, and Outlander is kicking things off. The show will end with its eighth season, and following the dramatic events of the second half of season 7, season 8 has a lot to live up to. However, it might just do that by finally answering questions that fans have had for a long time, with the trailer hinting at a big reveal coming soon.

The recent hint suggests a possible return for Faith, Claire and Jamie’s daughter who seemingly died in season two. This unexpected reunion would be a deeply emotional way to conclude the series, offering fans a satisfying ending.

4. Squid Game: The Challenge, Season 2 – Netflix

Netflix found a clever way to expand its popular show, Squid Game, with The Challenge. This reality competition, inspired by the fictional, life-or-death game in Squid Game, is returning for a second season on November 4th.

The new season’s trailer is packed with suspense and excitement, promising a competition where 426 players will battle it out for a multi-million dollar prize. Some contestants will rely on their skills to survive, while others will try to outsmart their opponents – though those schemes are likely to fail in dramatic fashion. Get ready for plenty of chaos when the season begins in just a few weeks!

3. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory (S4) – Netflix

The popular Jurassic World franchise continues with the success of the latest movie, Jurassic World: Rebirth. Fans can look forward to one more adventure this year: season 4 of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. The new season will premiere on Netflix November 20th and wrap up the series.

This animated adventure continues the story of the Nublar Six as they attempt to return home. Their journey will be filled with dangerous obstacles and thrilling encounters in the Biosyn Valley, including exciting chases and clashes with a Tyrannosaurus rex. This final season promises plenty of action and entertainment for the crew.

2. The Mighty Nein – Prime Video

Critical Role is expanding its animated world with a new series, The Mighty Nein, launching on November 19th. Building on the success of The Legend of Vox Machina, The Mighty Nein appears to be even stronger and could be another big hit for Prime Video.

The animated series The Mighty Nein follows a lovable group of heroes on a quest to protect reality and secure a powerful artifact called The Beacon. The team – featuring Jester Lavorre, Beauregard Lionett, Fjord, Yasha Nydoorin, Caduceus Clay, Nott the Brave, Caleb Widogast, and Mollymauk Tealeaf – is back, and fans who enjoyed the first series might find this one even more entertaining.

1. Stranger Things, Season 5, Volume 1 – Netflix

The fifth and final season of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things will begin streaming this November. The season will be released in two parts over a couple of months, with the first four episodes, called Volume 1, arriving on November 26th.

When Stranger Things first premiered, it quickly became a massive success for Netflix, and it has remained incredibly popular ever since. The creators, the Duffer Brothers, are now working on a final season designed to give loyal fans a satisfying conclusion and tie up all the loose ends. The first four episodes will be available in November, with the next three releasing on Christmas Day, and the very last episode arriving on New Year’s Eve.
