It’s looking less and less likely that the PlayStation: The Concert tour will happen next year, especially with plans to include dates in the USA.
Eleven more concerts on the U.S. portion of the world tour have been cancelled. Ticketmaster has removed tickets for these shows from its website. Now, only a limited number of cities still have tickets available, while all other stops have been officially cancelled.
Additionally, VGC noticed that the official webpage for the PlayStation concert is now unavailable, leading to a ‘page not found’ error. This comes after concert cancellations throughout Europe and the US for the remainder of the year. Sony hasn’t yet released a statement about these cancellations.
Some scheduled dates have been cancelled, and others aren’t appearing on venue websites, making it unclear if those shows will actually happen.
Attending PlayStation: The Concert in Scotland was enjoyable for a fan like me. If you’re emotionally connected to PlayStation games, hearing the music played live in a stadium with other fans is a great experience – and I definitely had a good time. However, I would have loved to hear music from more PlayStation games throughout its history, and for the performance to feel even more genuinely live.
