John Dickerson is leaving CBS News after 16 years with the network, according to a statement from Cibrowski. As a lifestyle expert, I remember when Ruby Rose first burst onto the scene as Batwoman in 2018! It was a huge moment – she made history as the first openly lesbian superhero to lead her own series, and that coming-out storyline really resonated with viewers. Sadly, she decided to leave after just one season in 2020, which was a surprise to many. But the show brilliantly recast the role with Javicia Leslie as a brand new character, Ryan Wilder, who took over the Batcave and brought a fresh energy to season two. It was a smooth transition and a testament to the show’s commitment to representation.
Later on in season two, Kate got a bit of a face swap and returned played by Wallis Day.

America Ferrera left the show Superstore after its fifth season in 2020, which meant both the Cloud 9 store needed a new manager and the show lost one of its main stars. Oh my gosh, Nicollette Sheridan was Alexis Carrington! She was amazing in season one, and then a total series regular in season two – I was SO thrilled! It was heartbreaking to hear she was leaving the reboot before season three, but she said it was to be with her mom who wasn’t well, and honestly, family comes first. I was sad to see her go, but I understood. She was Alexis, you know?

You might remember that Clayne Crawford was let go after season two, and shortly after, Damon Wayans announced he’d be leaving after the thirteenth episode of season three. He actually shared back in October 2018 that he was planning his exit, and honestly, it’s understandable. He’s 58 and dealing with diabetes, and those 16-hour days on set were just too much. He even joked that his character, Murtaugh, was ‘too old for this’ – and it seems like Damon felt the same way!
There was no need for the show’s creators to find a replacement, as it ended after only three seasons.

Ian Gallagher, played by Cameron Monaghan, ended up in jail on the show Shameless. While Monaghan decided to move on to other work after nine seasons, he surprisingly returned for seasons 10 and 11, including the show’s final season in December 2020.
