Unclear Games, a studio located in New Zealand, recently revealed The Florist, a survival horror game with a fixed camera perspective. It’s planned for release on PC via Steam and unspecified consoles in 2026.
Here is an overview of the game, via Unclear Games:
In The Florist, Jessica Park arrives in the town of Joycliffe with a simple delivery, but her timing couldn’t be worse. The town is quickly overrun by dangerous, rapidly growing plants, turning it into a fight for survival. Players will need to solve clever puzzles, battle terrifying creatures, and discover the disturbing secret behind this unnatural, blossoming new life.
As you investigate Joycliffe and the areas around it, you’ll uncover a lot of disturbing secrets. To move forward, you’ll need to rely on your instincts and carefully examine your surroundings, using hidden objects and puzzling clues. Important details, including story elements and information about the plants you find, are saved in your in-game journal. You’ll also find a variety of weapons to help you fight increasingly challenging enemies and bosses. The world of Joycliffe is dynamic, and the plants that grow at night create new and dangerous foes with evolving abilities.
The Florist offers a distinct and beautiful experience for players worldwide. Unlike typical abandoned towns, the danger in Joycliffe is new and striking. The game uses vibrant colors and light in innovative ways to build tension and create a uniquely unsettling atmosphere. Each meticulously crafted level is designed to be both visually stunning and fun to play, enhanced by a classic fixed camera perspective.
The game offers a variety of difficulty settings and accessibility features, plus you can collect and carry as many items as you like. It also uses autosave, and includes lots of extra content and secrets – common elements in this type of game. Drawing on inspiration from classic horror games while adding new gameplay and surprises, Unclear Games aims to create a top-quality survival horror experience when it releases in 2026.
