Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a fantastic game for fans of park simulation, and it’s engaging enough to appeal to players who don’t usually enjoy the genre. Picking up after the events of Jurassic World: Domination, the game puts you in charge of creating and running your own dinosaur park. Your goal is to successfully integrate dinosaurs into the modern world, keeping them alive and under control.
Drawing inspiration from games like Roller Coaster Tycoon and the Jurassic Park films, Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a captivating game. It stands out with its well-crafted design, extensive choices, and beautiful visuals. Even those who don’t typically enjoy park simulation games – like myself – will find Jurassic World Evolution 3 to be a remarkably impressive offering from Frontier Developments.
Score: 4/5
| Pros: | Cons: |
| Gorgeous graphics and intricate depth make players feel like they’re really building their own Jurassic Park. | A deluge of menus and maps can be overwhelming. |
| Letting the player step into the park for repairs or rescue break up the gameplay in exciting little ways. | Challenge mode can be relentlessly punishing, taking away from the game’s more effective Campaign or Sandbox modes. |
| Strong visual and spiritual execution creates a genuine experience few park sims can match. | Not necessarily for gamers who aren’t park sim fans. |
Life Finds A Way

Jurassic World Evolution 3 continues a long tradition of theme park simulation games. Players design and run their own Jurassic Park, facing all the difficulties that come with it. Successfully managing your park means keeping dinosaurs healthy and visitors happy. But neglect or misfortune can lead to sick dinosaurs or even dangerous breakouts.
The game starts with a tutorial voiced by Jeff Goldblum, then sends you on a campaign journey from the edges of Montana to places like Las Vegas and several islands. A key new feature is dinosaur breeding, which really emphasizes the series’ theme of life persevering – even if it creates a challenge for park managers trying to manage the growing dinosaur population!
As you progress in the game and have more freedom to try new things, you’ll need to balance taking care of your animals with the business side of running the park. This creates a good mix of creating a vibrant world and facing interesting challenges, making each expansion feel fresh and exciting.
If you just want to relax and build, you can switch to sandbox mode, where it’s easy to lose track of time. For those who like a challenge, the Scenarios mode offers timed objectives that can be really exciting. Although there are a lot of menu options, Jurassic World Evolution 3 simplifies things enough to give players the space they need to enjoy the game, even if they’re new to park simulation games.
The Majesty Of Nature

The heart of Jurassic World Evolution 3 is its gameplay, but what really stands out is how successfully it creates a believable, dynamic world. The game’s impressive visuals and realistic dinosaur behavior make it feel like your park is truly alive. On the PS5, the dinosaurs look especially stunning when you get a close-up view, with incredibly detailed designs and graphics.
Each dinosaur feels unique and has its own presence, which makes building your park really engaging. You can use in-game services to deal with problems, but you also have the option to handle smaller issues yourself. This puts you directly into the heart of your park, making the experience feel more immersive and realistic, and it’s a subtle but brilliant design choice.
The game offers a realistic and relatable take on park life, showing both the beauty and the challenges. This makes the parks feel genuinely alive – something many other simulation games don’t achieve. Whether players create a perfectly managed park or a complete disaster, Jurassic World Evolution 3 makes everything look and, crucially, feel authentic.
A Park Sim For Gamers Who Don’t Usually Play Park Sims

I don’t typically enjoy park simulation games. I find all the menus overwhelming, and I’ve never experienced the relaxing feeling that others get from managing things in these games. I wasn’t a fan of The Sims, and I only really liked the original Animal Crossing because it had hidden NES games to discover. So, Jurassic World Evolution 3 wasn’t really my kind of game.
Despite my reservations, the game is beautifully made and incredibly engaging. The stunning visuals make the dinosaurs feel lifelike, and your decisions truly matter. Tasks like fixing fences or rounding up escaped dinosaurs add welcome variety to the gameplay. I was particularly impressed by how powerfully the game conveys a sense of urgency, like when a storm approaches and you have to react quickly – it was much more impactful than I anticipated.
I had just finished building the Triceratops enclosure, and now I was worried it wouldn’t hold and would scare the dinosaurs. That level of realism was new to me in park simulation games, but Jurassic World Evolution 3 really delivered. Even if you don’t usually play these kinds of games, this one is worth checking out—and if you’re already a fan, prepare to find a new favorite.
