Maci Bookout’s Son Bentley Looks All Grown Up in 17th Birthday Photos

This Teen Mom star is taking pride in having a teen of her own.

Maci Bookout celebrated her son Bentley’s 17th birthday on October 27th, sharing a touching look at their close relationship. Bentley is Maci’s son with her ex, Ryan Edwards.

Maci, who is also a mom to Jayde, 10, and Maverick, 9, with her husband Taylor McKinney, recently shared photos from their August family vacation to Florida. The pictures show her son, Bentley, carrying her on his back, and she captioned the post wondering how Bentley is already 17 years old. She added, “I love you beyond measure!”

Viewers have been following Bentley’s life closely ever since his mom, Maci, first appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2009. We’ve seen everything from his birth and becoming a big brother, to how he’s dealt with his relationship with his dad – much of it has been shared with the public.

Over the past few months, viewers have watched the relationship between Ryan and his oldest child—as well as with his former partner—start to improve.

Ryan shared with Bentley on an April episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter that he’s been struggling for a long time. He also revealed that Bentley’s mother initially didn’t want them to have a relationship, which upset him, but he now understands her perspective. Ryan began his journey to sobriety in 2024.

After sixteen years, we’ve finally reached this point,” he said. “I apologize for the delay, but I believe the timing is perfect now.”

Ryan and his fiancée, Amanda Conner, even took their new baby, Presley, to Florida for vacation with Maci and her family. Ryan also brought his two children from a previous relationship with MacKenzie Standifer: 10-year-old Jagger and 5-year-old Stella.

Ryan and Maci, who have openly shared their experiences raising their son Bentley together, are dedicated to prioritizing his well-being. Maci recently posted vacation photos on August 4th, saying that seeing her children happy is what matters most.

Katie, along with her ex-boyfriend Joey Moes and their daughter Molli, appeared on Teen Mom 3, but they’ve largely stayed out of the public eye since then. After Katie and Joey broke up, she dedicated herself to raising Molli. She later started dating Tyler and they had a daughter together in 2017, but they’ve chosen to keep their family life private.

Following the challenges she faced as a new mom and after her split from her daughter Arabella’s father, Matt, which were shown on Teen Mom 3, Alex has chosen a more private life. She’s stayed out of the public eye and is now dedicated to raising Arabella with her fiancé, Tim Peters. They are planning to get married soon, and Alex has shared photos on Instagram of her wedding dress shopping, though the exact date hasn’t been announced.

Mackenzie and her boyfriend, Josh McKee, became parents to their son, Gannon, in 2011. Their experiences with young parenthood were featured on Teen Mom 3, and they got married in late 2013. They then welcomed their daughter, Jaxie Taylor, in February 2014. After years of training, Mackenzie competed in a bodybuilding competition in 2015, finishing in second place. She paused her competition pursuits when their son, Broncs, was born in August 2016. Now, Mackenzie is joining Teen Mom: OG, taking over for Bristol Palin and will appear in the final episodes of the current season.

Briana is one of the stars of Teen Mom 3 and a mother to two daughters. After having Nova Star DeJesus in 2011, she underwent several cosmetic surgeries. She faced criticism for saying she wouldn’t discourage Nova from getting surgery herself when she’s older. Briana also has a daughter, Stella Star DeJesus, born in July 2017 to Luis Hernandez. She split from her boyfriend, Javi Marroquin, in January 2018, and celebrated a one-year anniversary with John Rodriguez in May 2019.

Leah was a central figure on Teen Mom 2, raising her twin daughters, Aliannah and Aleeah. Throughout the show, she faced challenges in her relationship with the girls’ father and her former husband, Corey. She later married Jeremy Calvert in 2012, and they had a daughter, Adalynn Faith, in 2013. After divorcing in 2015, Leah became a single mom to her three children.

Kailyn and her boyfriend Joe faced difficulties in their relationship after the birth of their son, Isaac, during their time on Teen Mom 2. Following their breakup, Kailyn began dating Javi Marroquin, and they had a son, Lincoln, in 2013. They married that same year. In 2017, Kailyn had another son, Lux Russell, with Chris Lopez, with whom she has a complex co-parenting relationship. Kailyn is currently single and navigating co-parenting with Chris.

While appearing on Teen Mom 2, Chelsea faced challenges balancing motherhood and her education, which led to the end of her relationship with Audree’s father, Adam. After earning her GED and becoming a licensed beautician, she met her future husband, Cole, in 2014. They married in October 2016 and had their first child, Watson, in January 2017. Their second child, Layne Ettie, was born in February 2019. More recently, Chelsea and Cole have partnered with Itzy Ritzy to create their own clothing line.

Viewers of Teen Mom 2 will remember Jenelle as a young mother who often clashed with her own mother about her life choices and how she raised her son, Jace. She faced difficulties, including a failed marriage and an abortion in 2013, before welcoming her second child, Kaiser, with Nathan Griffin in 2014. In January 2017, she had a daughter, Ensley, with David Eason, and the couple married in North Carolina later that year. Unfortunately, things didn’t stay happy for long. In February 2018, David was fired from Teen Mom 2 due to offensive tweets. More recently, the family faced serious trouble when David reportedly shot and killed their dog. Following this incident, Jenelle lost custody of all three of her children.

Catelynn and Tyler made the difficult decision to put their first child, Carly, up for adoption. Carly was adopted by Brandon and Theresa, who later became known to viewers of Teen Mom 2. Several years later, in 2015, Catelynn and Tyler felt more ready to raise a child and welcomed their daughter, Novalee. They also got married that same year. Catelynn sought help for her mental health in November 2017 and, after completing rehab, shared on Teen Mom OG that she had experienced a miscarriage. Thankfully, in February 2019, they were thrilled to welcome their third child, Vaeda Luma.

Maci first became well-known as the mother of Bentley, born during her high school relationship with Ryan. She joined Teen Mom hoping to inspire other young mothers to pursue their education and achieve their dreams. After she and Ryan separated, Maci went to college to study journalism. She later married Taylor McKinney and together they have three children: Jayce, Maverick, and a third child whose name is not mentioned. In addition to appearing on Teen Mom OG, Maci and Taylor also run a clothing line called Things That Matter.

Farrah’s story on Teen Mom was particularly heartbreaking, as her boyfriend died in an accident just two months before their daughter, Sophia, was born. She later shared her experiences in a memoir called My Teenage Dream Ended and generated controversy with a sex tape featuring adult film star James Deen. In 2014, she starred in her own TV special, Being Farrah. However, she was let go from Teen Mom OG three years later, reportedly due to her work in the adult entertainment industry. Farrah then sued Viacom, MTV’s parent company, for $5 million, claiming they shamed her for her career, but later dropped the lawsuit after reaching a settlement. Since then, she’s continued to appear on reality television, including shows like Ex on The Beach, Celebrity Big Brother, and Botched.

Amber Portwood, mother to Leah Shirley, has been in the public eye since appearing on 16 and Pregnant in 2009. She faced accusations of domestic abuse involving her daughter’s father, Gary Shirley, and served 16 months in prison for drug-related offenses. After her release in 2013, she became a star on Teen Mom OG. A 2015 engagement to Matt Baier ended after rumors of infidelity. Amber later found happiness with cinematographer Andrew Glennon, and they welcomed son James in May 2018. However, the couple split in 2019, and Amber was arrested and convicted of domestic violence following an incident with Andrew, resulting in probation.
