Okay, so Kelsea hasn’t directly talked about being depressed or anxious, but honestly, she’s been so open about getting help over the years, it doesn’t surprise me. She’s shared how therapy really saved her, especially when she was battling an eating disorder as a teenager. And it’s just… heartbreaking, but she’s also talked about dealing with PTSD after witnessing a school shooting when she was fourteen. A classmate died, you know? It’s amazing she’s come so far and is so willing to share her journey, even the really tough parts.
She told People magazine in April that sharing her experiences has been incredibly impactful. She believes that openly discussing difficult topics helps break down the shame and silence surrounding them, simply by starting a conversation.
However, there’s one subject she’s avoiding: her breakup with Chase. They ended their nearly three-year relationship back in September.
Shortly after her representative confirmed her breakup, Kelsea publicly criticized people who were speculating about it.
In a TikTok video posted on September 23rd, she wrote, “CC: to the people spreading rumors, unnamed sources, and those secretly filming outside the salon.” The video was set to Ariana Grande’s song “Shut Up,” and she ended with a plea: “Please just leave us alone.”
