The Outer Worlds 2, a new science-fiction role-playing game from Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios, is officially available today. This is the third game Obsidian has released this year, following Avowed in February and the early access launch of Grounded 2 in July. While those who purchased the Premium Edition could play a few days ago, the standard version is now live for everyone – though some players are currently experiencing issues. A problem with Microsoft’s Azure service is preventing many people from accessing and purchasing games on Xbox, and Obsidian has confirmed that this outage is affecting The Outer Worlds 2, along with other titles.
Because of a current problem with Azure services, you might not be able to buy or install The Outer Worlds 2 on Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app for PC, or through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass right now.
