Fans have been eagerly awaiting the final season of Stranger Things, and now Netflix has released the official trailer for the first part of the story’s conclusion. The trailer delivers the epic battles you’d expect against creatures like the Demogorgon and Vecna, but it’s also left viewers concerned for the fate of two beloved characters – and understandably so.
The new trailer for Stranger Things season 5 promises an exciting finale, but fans have noticed something odd: two popular characters, Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), appear very little in the footage. They only show up in one shot each, leading some viewers to worry that these characters might not survive the season.
The story resumes with Hawkins under quarantine following the events of the last season, and Eleven attempting to cross a barrier. We then see Steve with someone, though it’s not immediately clear what led to that moment. Soon after, Eleven and Hopper are working together, but the timeline of that partnership isn’t yet established.
The trailer mainly centers around Joyce, Mike, Nancy, and Eleven, along with the villain, Vecna. The final shot shows Vecna and Will together, with Will saying, “You are going to help me…one last time.” It looks like this season will be full of suspense, and fans are hoping their favorite characters survive.
Finishing the story will be a big challenge for the creators, as they want the final episodes to be both exciting and satisfying for dedicated fans. The series has been an incredible journey, and while it’s time for it to conclude, everyone hopes the ending will be memorable and not disappointing.
The creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers, were able to craft a full, conclusive story for the town of Hawkins and the mysterious Upside Down. They studied other shows’ finales to learn from both successes and failures, aiming to deliver a satisfying ending for dedicated fans who have followed the series from the start. Here’s the official description for season 5.
It’s fall of 1987, and Hawkins is still reeling from the events that opened the Rifts. Our heroes are determined to find and defeat Vecna, but he’s disappeared, and no one knows where he is or what he’s planning. Things are made even harder by a military quarantine imposed on the town and the government’s relentless pursuit of Eleven, forcing her to go into hiding again. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance nears, a sense of dread returns. A final, massive confrontation is coming—one that will bring a darkness more dangerous than anything they’ve encountered before. To finally end this nightmare, everyone needs to come together for one last stand.
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things will be released in two parts. The first four episodes of Volume 1 will be available on November 26th, followed by the three episodes of Volume 2 on Christmas Day. The very last episode will premiere on New Year’s Eve. Both volumes will begin streaming at 5 PM Pacific Time.
