Floyd Roger Myers Jr., Fresh Prince of Bel Air Child Actor, Dead at 42

Hollywood is mourning the loss of a ‘90s star.

Floyd Roger Myers Jr., who was a child actor on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, passed away on October 22nd, according to his mother, Renee Trice. He was 42 years old.

According to Trice, Myers passed away at his Maryland home after a heart attack. She said she had spoken with him just hours before and that he had suffered three heart attacks in the past three years.

Early in his acting career, Myers appeared as a younger Will Smith in the third season of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1992. He also played a young Marlon Jackson that same year in the ABC mini-series The Jacksons: An American Dream, alongside Angela Bassett, Jason Weaver, and Billy Dee Williams.

Mike Myers’ final role on television was in a 2000 episode of Young Americans, a teen drama that didn’t last long on The WB.

Since stepping away from acting, the actor started a nonprofit in Maryland called the Fellaship Men’s Group, dedicated to supporting men’s mental health. Following the news of his death, the group shared a touching tribute to him.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our co-founder, Roc Wonder. We shared a photo of him smiling with his children, Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox, along with the message that he will be greatly missed. We are committed to continuing his work and will honor him at our next meeting, as we discussed. We love you, brother, and may you rest in peace. We’ll take it from here.

Those who loved Myers, including his sister Tyree, shared memories of him on his GoFundMe page.

She described him as a wonderful father, brother, and friend, known for his kindness, joyful spirit, and warm personality. He is survived by his four children, Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox, and his family is heartbroken by this devastating loss.
