After a few weeks since its release, Pokémon Legends Z-A developers are addressing some problems players have been experiencing.
Pokémon Legends Z-A represented a significant change for the long-running Pokémon series, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and The Pokémon Company.
Pokémon Legends Z-A is moving away from the traditional turn-based battles that have been a series staple since the 1990s. Instead, it’s introducing real-time combat where you can move freely while your Pokémon’s powerful moves recharge.
The game brought players back to Lumiose City, a location from Pokémon X and Y, but it updated the city with fresh battle areas and new places to find wild Pokémon.
Okay, so it’s totally understandable that a game as different as Pokémon Legends Z-A has had a few issues at launch. The developers have actually been really open about a couple of pretty big bugs, and they’ve promised they’re working on fixes right now, which is great to hear!
I just saw on the official Pokémon website that they’ve acknowledged some problems and are planning to fix them in an update soon, which is great to hear!
You might be surprised to learn that only two “known issues” are listed on the webpage.
If your Pokémon storage is completely full before your first battle against a Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon, and you haven’t opened the storage menu at all before it fills up, you won’t be able to catch any new Pokémon.
Also, if you try to complete a side quest that rewards a Pokémon while these conditions are active, the quest will finish, but you won’t actually receive the Pokémon.
Sometimes, during side missions, a specific timing issue can prevent you from hitting targets. If a move lands exactly as the game switches between day and night, the target becomes unhittable, blocking your progress in that mission.
Developers are already addressing these problems. According to a recent announcement, a fix is expected to be included in an update coming out in November.
