If you want to make it out alive in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to learn how to beat every ARC type.
In this game, ARCs are powerful and dangerous robots that control the surface. You’ll encounter them often in every match, and they can be just as threatening – or even more so – than the other players.
This guide covers all the different types of ARCs and how to defeat them. We’ll detail their weaknesses, important behaviors to watch out for, and the rewards they offer!
How To Beat Every ARC | ARC Raiders
Before we dive into the specifics of each ARC challenge, we’d like to share a couple of helpful hints to keep in mind.

First, consider the weapon you’re using. Specifically, look at its ARC Armor Penetration stat – a higher number means it’s more effective against ARCs!
Generally, weapons effective in player-versus-player combat (PvP) aren’t always the best choice for player-versus-environment combat (PvE). The Tempest, for instance, excels in PvP but doesn’t pierce armor very well. Conversely, the Ferro is strong against armored enemies (ARCs) because of its high armor penetration.

Don’t forget about the searchlights on the ARCs. Most of them have lights of some kind, though some are more noticeable than others. These lights are really helpful for spotting the ARCs, particularly at night.
Okay, so those searchlights aren’t just for looks! They actually tell me what the ARC is up to – basically, whether they’re actively patrolling or not. It’s a really handy way to get a read on the situation.
- White or Blue – Unalerted, searching for Raiders.
- Orange – Aware of nearby Raiders, but doesn’t know their position. The ARC will search for Raiders in the last place it saw or heard them.
- Red – Found Raiders and knows where they are, so it’s actively in combat mode.
With those two things in mind, let’s go over how to deal with each one of the ARCs we know of!
Wasp

This armed drone is a common sight above ground. Despite its small size, it’s still dangerous, so don’t underestimate it!
These aircraft are constantly in the air, so it’s a good idea to check the sky occasionally to see if you can spot them. At night, they also use a powerful searchlight, making them easy to find.
When fighting, try to shoot at the engines on the sides of the enemy. If you destroy two engines, it will crash to the ground, which can instantly defeat it if it’s high enough up. Even if it doesn’t fall from a great height, it will be grounded and much easier to destroy.
The best way to protect yourself from its attacks is to use cover. Hide behind walls or inside buildings to stay safe and out of its line of sight. Only briefly come out of cover to shoot, and do so between its attacks.
When you take it down, you can claim the following loot from it:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- Wasp Driver
- Light Ammo
- 100 XP (Destroy), 200 XP (Loot)
Hornet

Like the Wasp, the Hornet is a flying drone equipped with weapons. These two drones are often seen together, as the Hornet is one of the most frequently encountered automated robotic combatants in the game. It’s slightly larger and more durable than the Wasp, but a bit slower in terms of speed.
It shoots slow electric darts that briefly stun you if they hit. While the stun itself isn’t very harmful, it creates an opportunity for other enemies to attack and defeat you!
Taking this on is similar to fighting a Wasp. Stick to buildings and use cover to avoid getting hit. When it pauses to reload, quickly attack, and aim for the vulnerable thrusters on its rear to bring it crashing down!
It’s also best to keep your distance from Hornets. Their darts aren’t very fast, making them easier to avoid if you’re farther away.
When it comes to loot, here’s what you can get from Hornets:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- Hornet Driver
- Simple Gun Parts
- Medium Ammo
- 150 XP (Destroy), 250 XP (Loot)
Snitch

This ARC unit resembles a drone, but it’s designed for utility rather than fighting. You can tell it apart from Hornets and Wasps by its rounded, dome-like shape.
The Snitch doesn’t attack directly; it’s purely a scout. It flies around, searching for enemy Raiders. When it finds them, it automatically calls in a group of ARCs – typically Hornets and Wasps – to handle the threat.
To safely destroy it, simply avoid its beam and keep shooting. It’s actually quite easy, especially when it’s by itself.
Loot-wise, here are its drops:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- Sensors
- Snitch Scanner
- 100 XP (Destroy), 200 XP (Loot)
Rocketeer

This drone is considered the most dangerous of its kind, responsible for a large number of Raider casualties during the Server Slam. It’s a heavily armored, large drone equipped with a rocket launcher.
If you’re fighting a Rocketeer, it’s best to immediately find somewhere to hide. Their rockets explode with a huge area of effect, so you won’t be able to outrun them if you try to react after they’ve fired.
Focus on using cover to protect yourself. If rockets hit the cover you’re behind, you won’t get hurt! Remember, this enemy shoots two rockets with each attack.
Be cautious around buildings. Structures with many openings, like windows or doors, can be extremely dangerous because rockets can enter them, leaving you trapped with nowhere to escape.
Like the other drones, your best bet is to disable two of its thrusters. This will bring it down, either destroying it completely or leaving it vulnerable for a final blow.
The Rocketeer is tough, so be prepared! Make sure you have plenty of ammunition and a weapon that can easily break through its armor before you attempt to fight it.
Manage to emerge victorious against this demonic ARC and you’ll be able to get the following loot:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- ARC Motion Core
- ARC Circuitry
- Advanced ARC Powercell
- Heavy Gun Parts
- Rocketeer Driver
- Heavy Ammo
- 500 XP (Destroy), 200 (Loot Per Part)
Tick

These fast, six-legged creatures, known as ARCs, are commonly found indoors. They attack by leaping onto Raiders’ faces and clinging on tightly.
If a Tick latches onto you, you’ll need to keep pressing the interact button to struggle and pull it off your face. While it has you, you’ll take a little damage and won’t be able to move or do anything, which can be really risky if enemies or other players are around!
The most effective way to handle Ticks is to listen for their sounds. They make a distinct, high-pitched screech when they see you, so hearing that sound should prompt you to scan your surroundings for them.
Luckily, Ticks aren’t very tough. They’re vulnerable all over, so even one hit with any weapon should defeat them. The main challenge is that they move quickly and unpredictably, making them difficult to target.
Here’s what you can get when you loot these tiny ARCs:
- ARC Alloy
- Tick Pod
- 50 XP (Destroy), 100 XP (Loot)
Pop

This is a small, circular light fixture with a ring around it. You’ll usually find these inside buildings.
Pops are a dangerous enemy that explode on impact! They run directly at Raiders and detonate themselves, causing a lot of damage in the process.
When facing Pops, your best strategy is to create distance and avoid getting close. While shooting them will eventually destroy them – usually with just a few hits – they will explode when damaged, so it’s best to keep your distance while you attack.
While running, watch for the red lights on the screen – they’ll show you where the Pop is approaching from. Remember, Pops can’t jump over things, so going over obstacles is the best way to create space.
When it comes to loot, here’s what Pops give you:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- ARC Thermo Lining
- Crude Explosives
- Pop Trigger
- 50 XP (Destroy), 100 XP (Loot)
Fireball

Like Pops, these ARCs are small, spherical devices often found within buildings. However, they’re different from Pops because they don’t have a ring and are typically painted a darker color.
Okay, so here’s the deal with Fireballs: if they see a Raider, they immediately charge! They’ve got this flamethrower, and while it’s short-range, it’ll light Raiders – and anything else nearby – on fire. Seriously, watch out for those flames! They do a ton of damage really fast, so dodging is key.
Fireballs don’t have any specific spots you can target to defeat them. The best way to destroy them is to move far enough away from their flames and then shoot at them. Luckily, they aren’t very tough.
Here’s the list of the Fireball’s loot:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- Crude Explosives
- Fireball Burner
- 100 XP (Destroy), 100 XP (Loot)
ARC Surveyor

These are large, round objects often seen rolling around outdoors. Despite its name, it isn’t an enemy or something you fight.
If you attack a Surveyor, it will try to roll away to avoid damage. But as it escapes, it will ram into any Raiders nearby, causing significant damage to them.

The best way to defeat a Surveyor is to wait until it starts scanning. When it does, its core will be vulnerable, letting you inflict a lot of damage. Otherwise, its outer armor is quite tough.
You can get the following loot from these skittish ARCs:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- ARC Motion Core
- ARC Circuitry
- Advanced ARC Powercell
- Sensors
- Surveyor Vault
- 200 XP (Destroy), 300 XP (Loot Core), 100 XP (Loot Part)
Turret

Now, let’s talk about Turrets. These stationary defenses are located within buildings and look like security cameras equipped with a gun.
If a Turret sees you, it will shoot at you for a short time. Find somewhere to hide and wait until it stops, then quickly shoot back while it’s reloading. Turrets don’t have any specific parts to target, but they aren’t very tough either!
Here’s what you can loot from these Turrets:
- ARC Alloy
- Light Ammo
- Simple Gun Parts
- 100 XP (Destroy), 200 XP (Loot)
Sentinel

Unlike the more hidden Turrets, Sentinels are easily spotted on the outside of buildings. They reveal their position with bright red lasers that show you exactly where they’re targeting.
To defeat them, find some cover close to where the Sentinel is shooting. Briefly step out of cover to get its attention and make it fire, then quickly return fire yourself. Keep doing this until you destroy it!
Lastly, as usual, here’s the Sentinel’s loot table:
- ARC Alloy
- Advanced ARC Powercell
- ARC Coolant
- ARC Synthetic Resin
- ARC Thermo Lining
- ARC Motion Core
- Sentinel Firing Core
- Heavy Ammo
- 200 XP (Destroy), 300 XP (Loot)
Leaper

A large arachnid ARC, and one of the most dangerous ARCs if you’re unprepared.
The Leaper attacks by jumping directly onto Raiders. If it lands successfully, it crushes them, causing a lot of damage.
Okay, so after that Leaper finishes its crazy jump, it always wraps itself in these shockwaves. Seriously, they hurt! They tear right through a Raider’s shields and health, so dodging the jump is only half the battle – those shockwaves are just as deadly!
If you’re facing a Leaper, we suggest finding a small building to take cover in. The best ones are just big enough for you to see out of, but too small for the Leaper to get inside. This will let you safely shoot at it!
It has two main weaknesses. The biggest is the large eye located in the center of its body, but its legs are also vulnerable. You’ll need to break through the armor on the legs to reach the softer parts underneath. If you can disable a leg, it will significantly reduce the creature’s movement.
When it comes to loot, you can get a lot from its various debris pieces:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Flex Rubber
- ARC Performance Steel
- Advanced ARC Powercell
- Explosive Compound
- Mechanical Components
- Leaper Pulse Unit
- 500 XP (Destroy), 600 XP (Loot Core), 200 XP (Loot Parts)
Bastion

This creature moves slowly and resembles a crab, but don’t let its speed fool you. It’s incredibly tough and can inflict a lot of damage.
The Bastion primarily attacks with its gatling gun. When it spots an enemy, it will continuously fire at them for roughly three seconds. After each burst of fire, it needs a short pause to cool down.

The creature’s biggest weakness is its yellow kneecaps. Damaging these will slow it down and reveal a vulnerable core you can attack for extra damage.
You can also quickly destroy the Bastion by shooting the yellow cylinder on its back. But it’s usually hard to get a clear shot unless the Bastion is busy with something else.
You can get the following items by looting the Bastion and its parts:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- ARC Motion Core
- ARC Circuitry
- Advanced ARC Powercell
- Mechanical Components
- Medium Gun Parts
- Bastion Cell
- Medium Ammo
- 500 XP (Destroy), 500 XP (Loot Per Part)
Bombardier

Like the Bastion before it, this ARC is a heavily armored, slow-moving unit. However, instead of a gatling gun, it uses a mortar to destroy enemy Raiders it detects.
If you see a Bombardier, the safest thing to do is get under a roof or some other kind of shelter. These creatures shoot projectiles that arc through the air before landing, so being covered will protect you from them.

Just a heads-up, the Bombardier doesn’t go it alone – it’s got these little spotter drones buzzing around, like you see in the picture. They’re how it aims, so honestly, my first move is always taking those drones out. Makes dealing with the Bombardier way easier.

The Bombardier deals damage just like the Bastion. Focus your attacks on the yellow parts – mainly the kneecaps on its legs, but you can also target the yellow container on its back if you have a clear shot.
Destroying the legs reveals the ARC’s vulnerable core, letting you inflict significantly more damage. It also slows the ARC down!
When it comes to loot, there’s a lot you can get from the Bombardier and its parts:
- ARC Alloy
- ARC Powercell
- ARC Performance Steel
- Advanced ARC Powercell
- Mechanical Components
- Medium Gun Parts
- Bombardier Cell
- Launcher Ammo
- 500 XP (Destroy), 500 XP (Loot Per Part)
The Queen

Finally, let’s talk about The Queen. She’s by far the most powerful enemy in the game right now, and most players recommend avoiding a fight with her altogether.
Okay, so if you’re really determined to fight the Queen, listen up! Seriously, don’t even think about going at her solo. She’s got crazy-strong armor, and you’re going to need a whole squad of Raiders coordinating to actually bring her down. It’s a team effort, for sure.
As of now, very few players have actually managed to defeat The Queen. Even during testing phases like the Technical Tests and Server Slam, she overwhelmingly defeated most Raiders.
We’re really puzzled about how to reliably defeat it! The only thing we know for sure is that you’ll need a complete team of Raiders, fully equipped with all the necessary supplies, just to have a chance.
Her leg joints appear to be a vulnerable area, much like those on Bombardiers and Bastions. Her central eye also seems like a good target.
Besides that, The Queen is generally protected by other powerful enemies, especially Rocketeers. It’s important to eliminate these supporting enemies quickly, because they can overwhelm you while you’re trying to manage The Queen’s many attacks.

Manage to topple this massive threat and you’ll be able to loot the following items:
- ARC Alloy
- Advanced ARC Powercell
- ARC Motion Core
- ARC Circuitry
- ARC Coolant
- ARC Flex Rubber
- ARC Thermo Lining
- ARC Synthetic Resin
- ARC Performance Steel
- Advanced Mechanical Components
- Advanced Electrical Components
- Magnetic Accelerator
- Queen Reactor
- 1000 XP (Destroy), 1000 XP (Loot Core), 500 XP (Loot Part)
That wraps up our guide! You should now be equipped to defeat any ARC in ARC Raiders. We hope this helps you in the fight against the robots!
Look, I hate dealing with lag when I’m trying to take down ARCs and Raiders, so I checked out a guide to get my game running perfectly. Seriously, you don’t want to be fighting the game itself and the enemies – optimize your settings and just focus on the raid!
