The remake of Silent Hill 2 developed by Bloober Team is likely coming to Xbox Series X and S. For now, the game has only been playable on PlayStation 5 and PC. However, it was always planned that the PlayStation exclusivity wouldn’t last forever, and a release on Xbox was expected. Recent leaks suggest that Xbox players may be able to play the game very soon.
The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has officially rated Silent Hill 2 for Xbox Series X/S. The rating details match those for the PlayStation 5 and PC versions, as expected. While there’s still no confirmed release date for Xbox, the ESRB listing itself strongly suggests that Silent Hill 2 is indeed coming to Xbox, given the ESRB’s near-perfect record for accurately predicting game releases.

When might we hear about Silent Hill 2 coming to Xbox? There are two strong possibilities. The first is The Game Awards 2025, which is happening in just over a month. This event has become well-known for revealing new games, so Konami might choose it to announce that SH2 is on its way to Xbox. The Game Awards will take place on December 11th.
According to Windows Central, Xbox is planning a new event in November called a “Partner Showcase.” Though not officially announced, the event will likely focus on games made by third-party developers. This makes it a potentially better place than The Game Awards to see the first gameplay of SH2 on Xbox.
As a huge fan, I’m so excited! Even though we don’t know exactly when Silent Hill 2 is coming to Xbox, the recent leak pretty much confirms it will happen. I’m keeping an eye out for more news and will definitely share any updates I find right here!
