While October is known for Halloween, Netflix is holding onto its biggest frights for November. The streaming service is adding a lot of new content next month, including many highly-rated horror films.
Netflix subscribers to enjoy several horror movies in November
The streaming service recently revealed its November 2025 lineup of new movies and TV shows.
What’s on Netflix recently shared a list of popular movies coming to the platform, including titles like Crazy Rich Asians, Dr. Dolittle, King Richard, and Wonka. The list also revealed that several classic horror films will be available on Netflix soon.
On the first day of November 2025, four horror movies will be released, including the classic I Know What You Did Last Summer with Sarah Michelle Gellar, and The Purge: Anarchy starring Frank Grillo.
On November 1st, Netflix will add both Doctor Sleep, the sequel to Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining starring Ewan McGregor as an adult Danny Torrance, and The Nun 2, the latest installment in The Conjuring franchise.
Netflix will also add the thriller Wish Upon, starring Joey King and Ryan Phillippe, on November 5th. Finally, on November 7th, they’ll release the highly anticipated Frankenstein directed by Guillermo del Toro, completing their new horror movie lineup for November.
This new horror series, exclusive to the streaming platform, is a fresh take on Mary Shelley’s famous 1818 novel Frankenstein. Jacob Elordi stars as the monster, while Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth play Victor Frankenstein and Elizabeth Harlander.
Fans can also look forward to the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, premiering on Netflix November 26th. Although it’s more of a dark fantasy than straight horror, the new season should strengthen Netflix’s collection of supernatural shows.
