Capcom has announced details about its next presentation for Resident Evil Requiem. This week, pre-orders for the game finally opened, including a Deluxe Edition. Fans were hoping to see new gameplay or a trailer with the pre-order launch, but were left wanting more. Now, Capcom has confirmed when they’ll share a new look at the game, though some details are still unclear.
Capcom announced in their recent “Road to Requiem” video that they’ll reveal more about Resident Evil Requiem during a dedicated Resident Evil Showcase. While a specific date hasn’t been set, the event is planned for early 2026. This likely means Capcom doesn’t have any significant announcements planned for the remainder of 2025, unless something unexpected happens at an event like The Game Awards.
Even though Resident Evil Requiem is set to release in just four months, Capcom hasn’t revealed much about the game. What they have shown appears to be from the very beginning, leaving fans wanting more. However, Capcom is still being tight-lipped about the rest of the game.
The upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem, will likely feature Grace Ashcroft as a new playable character. The story will take place, at least partially, in the familiar ruins of Raccoon City, the setting of the original Resident Evil games. While not officially confirmed by Capcom, rumors indicate that Leon Kennedy, a popular character from the series, could be a secondary protagonist. We may find out if Leon will appear in the game at the upcoming Resident Evil Showcase.
The new game, Resident Evil Requiem, will be available on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Capcom also announced they’re working with Nintendo on new Amiibo figures and bringing Resident Evil content to Fortnite through a collaboration with Epic Games.
