5 Pokemon Legends: Z-A Post-Game Activities To Keep You Busy Until Mega Dimensions

Now that Pokemon Legends: Z-A is available, many players are finishing the main story, which typically takes 20 to 30 hours depending on how much time they spend catching Pokemon and doing optional tasks. Like other Pokemon games, there’s still a lot to do after you see the credits. This time, there will be at least one story expansion, but the content from Mega Dimensions won’t be available until February 2026. In the meantime, players are enjoying continuing to explore Lumiose City.

So, I finally finished the main story in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and saw the credits roll, which felt pretty satisfying! But honestly, as a longtime Pokemon player, I knew that wasn’t really the end. After the credits, I headed back to Hotel Z and discovered there’s actually a whole post-game story to dive into. Even after finding out what happens to Lumiose City after the final battle, there’s still tons to do in the game. I’m really excited to keep playing and exploring everything until the Mega Dimensions content drops in February 2026!

5. Finish the Post-Credits Main Story Chapters

Even after the credits roll, there are still a few more main missions to play. You’ll team up with your friends to help Lumiose City recover after the final battle.

After you finish the main story in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you can play four additional missions. While some of these missions finish up loose ends from the main story, they’re also how you’ll catch the Legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal.

4. Get All Mega Stones

If you enjoy completing everything in a game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A offers the challenge of collecting all the Mega Stones. You’ll get a good start by winning the Rogue Mega Battles, but there are still many more to find. Be sure to collect Mega Shards so you can trade for them at Quasartico Inc., and check the shopping district for the easier stones. After that, you’ll need to focus on winning multiple battles to get the rest.

If you want to get the Mega Stones for the Pokémon that start your Kalos region adventure, you’ll need to battle other players online in Ranked Battles. Starting with Season 2, earning these stones will be a little simpler, but you’ll still need to play a few Ranked Battles to collect them all.

3. Complete Mable’s Research to Earn the Shiny Charm, Then Go Shiny Hunting

Similar to other Pokémon games, Pokémon Legends: Z-A features a Shiny Charm that increases your chances of finding Shiny Pokémon. To get it, you’ll need to reach Research Level 50 with Mabel, which means completing a lot of her research requests and unlocking all the rewards. However, it’s a worthwhile effort if you enjoy hunting for rare, Shiny Pokémon in the game.

After reaching Research Level 50 and obtaining the Shiny Charm, you’ll significantly increase your chances of finding Shiny Pokémon in Lumiose City. You can then focus your search on the Wild Zones for even better results.

2. Collect Colorful Screws to Unlock All Canari Plushies

If you liked the climbing and movement in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you might enjoy collecting Colorful Screws! They’re hidden throughout the city’s structures, and some are cleverly concealed. Collecting them allows you to trade with the staff at Terragon for cute Canari plushies.

These adorable Canari charms aren’t just inspired by Labubu—they each provide a helpful benefit, making them great to keep in your inventory. There are five different Canari plushies to collect, and you can improve their abilities by leveling them up. If you manage to collect all five and find all the Colorful Screws, you’ll also receive a unique decoration for your room at Hotel Z!

1. Complete All Side Missions

If you’re wondering what I’ll be doing after finishing the main story in Legends: Z-A, I’ll be focusing on side missions. There are over 100 to complete, and you probably skipped a lot of them while rushing to beat the game! Head back to Lumiose City and talk to characters with exclamation marks on the map to discover these extra stories.

Beyond just making Lumiose City feel more alive, many of the optional side quests offer really useful rewards. For example, you actually get your starter Pokémon from the Kalos region by completing side quests, and you’ll also have a chance to battle during the day.

I’m already so hyped for Pokemon Legends: Z-A! I’m really curious about what we’ll be able to do after we beat the main story. What do you guys think the post-game will look like? Let’s chat about it over on the ComicBook Forum – I’d love to hear your theories!
