Amy Slaton is looking so spooky in love.
Five months after getting engaged to Brian Lovvorn, the star of 1,000-lb Sisters had a Halloween wedding at the Talbott Inn in Bardstown, Kentucky, a place many believe is haunted.
Amy was firm about having a spooky setting for her wedding. “This wedding is a dream come true,” she shared with People magazine. “I’m so excited to finally have my happy ending!”
Amy celebrated her special day in a sleeveless lace gown, complete with a veil and a black tiara. She’d dyed her hair a vibrant pink at Brian’s request. Brian looked handsome in a traditional tuxedo with tails and a black bow tie.
She mentioned that Brian requested she get pink hair for the wedding, but she’s hoping to style it in a classic Victorian updo.
Amy was joined at the ceremony by her sister, Tammy Slaton, and her two sons, 4-year-old Gage Deon and 3-year-old Glenn Allen, who she shares with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman. Her maid of honor, Ollisha “Lee Lee” Davis, was also there.
Oh my gosh, planning my wedding was a dream! I absolutely loved finding the perfect venue and all the little details, but picking the bridal party? Ugh, seriously stressful! But honestly, I just knew Ollisha had to be my maid of honor. I had this feeling, even before I even asked her, that she’d be thrilled and I couldn’t imagine doing it without her. She’s just…amazing.
As for how the reality star feels about her new chapter, Amy is feeling lucky in love.
She excitedly shared that marrying Brian ended her loneliness, describing him as her ultimate source of happiness. She raved about how kind and caring he is, and how much her sons adore him – something she especially appreciated, as it’s rare to find someone who embraces a single mom and her active kids.
Amy shared how much she loves that he motivates her to grow and become a better person. She appreciates how he always puts her and her sons first, prioritizing their needs above his own. He’s equally excited about adventures and cozy nights at home playing games with the kids.
She excitedly shared that marrying Brian ended her loneliness, explaining he’s truly her happy place. She described him as incredibly sweet and caring, someone everyone will love getting to know. She also emphasized how special he is for accepting her and her two active sons, which isn’t something many men would do.
Amy shared that she loves how he motivates her to grow as a person. She appreciates that he consistently puts her and her sons’ needs first, and that he’s always up for anything – whether it’s a new adventure or a cozy night in playing games with the kids.
Amy revealed details about her Halloween wedding on September 22nd after someone asked her on Instagram if she was already married.
“No, this Halloween,” the reality star responded to the fan’s question at the time, “so 39 days.”
It’s strangely perfect that Brian and Amy chose their spooky wedding date. Brian actually proposed while they were all visiting a haunted house in Kentucky with Amy’s sisters, Tammy and Misty Wentworth, back in May. He stopped Amy before they went further inside and proposed right there.
“I know we promised each other we wouldn’t do this again,” he said on the TLC show, showing Amy a ring with two skull-shaped fingers. “But I’m completely crazy about you. Will you marry me?”
And without missing a beat, Amy happily replied, “You know I will.”
Right after the show aired, the couple marked their relationship by getting a pet snake named Baby as a gift to each other. Though they hadn’t planned their wedding yet, Amy felt certain their love would last.
“I’m so excited to finally call him my husband and spend the rest of my life with him,” Amy shared with People magazine in May. “Even though our engagement was brief, we’re building a love that will last forever.”
