Cardi B is sharing a surprising detail about her haircare routine.
The rapper, who is pregnant with her fourth child and her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, recently showed fans her hair care routine before washing her hair. She mentioned it had been a while since she’d last washed it.
During an Instagram Live stream on October 27th, the woman admitted she hadn’t showered in about two or three months. She jokingly speculated that she might have ‘all sorts of’ bugs and their eggs living in her hair.
Some fans were surprised to learn she only washes her hair infrequently, but she casually described her routine as if it were perfectly normal.
She said she needed to moisturize her scalp because she planned to style her natural hair tomorrow. She’ll wash it, and then braid it around Wednesday.
Cardi B (born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) has previously talked about her surprising hair care tips. Back in August 2022, she shared that onions are a key part of keeping her natural hair healthy.
She shared on Instagram that she’d been washing her hair with water she’d boiled onions in. She’d tried this six years ago when she first started focusing on growing healthier hair, but stopped because she got too lazy to continue.
The Grammy-winning artist, who shares 7-year-old Kulture, 4-year-old Wave, and 13-month-old Blossom with her ex, Offset, quickly explained that the product had no smell, and that she’s noticed it’s been making her hair shinier.
Cardi B’s hairstyles became a popular topic online during her recent court appearance, where she was accused of assaulting a former security guard in 2018 – a claim she disputed. After the jury found her not liable, she revealed that creating her stylish looks for court wasn’t simple.
Let me tell you, after all the hair changes for this project, my forehead is seriously feeling it! I mean, it’s raw – that’s how much work has gone into these wigs. It’s a glamorous problem to have, but definitely a real one!
