Scrappy’s collection service is helpful in ARC Raiders, and it becomes even better if you provide them with all the upgrade materials they need!
While you’re completing Raids, Scrappy the Rooster will gather resources in Speranza for you. When you get back, you can collect these resources without paying anything. You can also improve this service by using collected items, allowing Scrappy to gather even more each time.
This guide will quickly show you where to find everything needed to fully upgrade Scrappy!
All Scrappy’s Upgrade Material Locations | ARC Raiders
Dog Collar

Let’s start off with the one item required to get Scrappy to Level 2, the Dog Collar!
Let’s start with the tricky part: the item you’re looking for is chosen at random. But don’t worry, you only need to find one Dog Collar!
The Dog Collar doesn’t have specific places where it always appears. Instead, you can find it by randomly opening and searching containers – like boxes and lockers – inside houses and buildings in residential areas. This includes places like the Ruby Residence or the Research & Admin Building on the Dam Battlegrounds map.
While some people find it elsewhere, residential areas seem to be the most common place to find it.
Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to find this item – you’ll have to rely on luck and thorough searching. Check every container, cabinet, and anything else you can find in residential areas until you discover it.
Here’s a helpful hint: try completing Night Raids. You’re more likely to find better loot during those, which could increase your chances of getting the Dog Collar!
Lemons, Apricots, and Olives

You’ll also need to collect three fruits: lemons, apricots, and olives. Luckily, you can find all of them in the Olive Grove area of the Blue Gate map.

Lemons and Apricots are usually on the ground near small fruit trees. Olives are by the taller trees.

You can kick the trees, and doing so might cause more fruit to drop – it’s worth trying!
You can find these trees in any area labeled as ‘Natural,’ but the Olive Grove is the most consistent place to collect them.
If you’re thinking of gathering resources in a new natural area, it’s best to wait for Lush Blooms events. These events boost the number of fruits you’ll find. And remember, Night Raids always give you more valuable rewards.
Lastly, here’s a quick list of how many of these fruits you’ll need for Scrappy’s upgrades:
- Lemons – 3 for Level 3.
- Apricots – 3 for Level 3, 12 for Level 5. Total of 15.
- Olives – 6 for Level 4.
Mushrooms

Okay, let’s talk about Mushrooms. They’re going to be the hardest things to farm here because they don’t appear very often.
You’ll most often find these creatures in the Swamp area on the west side of the Dam Battlegrounds map. While they can appear elsewhere on other maps too, the Swamp is definitely the most reliable place to look.
Mushrooms usually grow on tree trunks, but you can also find them on the ground near swamps. They’re large and white, making them easy to see, even from far away. The biggest problem is that they don’t grow very often.
We suggest waiting for a Lush Blooms event to collect these items. Night Raids can also offer them, but they’ll be more difficult to find.
For Scrappy’s sake, you’ll need to get 12 Mushrooms in total.
Prickly Pears

Okay, so finding this fruit can be a bit of a pain, but honestly, it’s not the worst grind ever. Usually, you’ll find it growing on the ground around cacti, so that’s where I always start my search.
If you’re looking for cacti, we suggest playing on the Buried City or Dam Battlegrounds maps. These maps have the most cacti, which increases your chances of finding Prickly Pears.

You can find a lot of cacti near Pattern House in the northern Dam Battlegrounds, making it a great place to collect Prickly Pears.
You’ll need to collect a total of 6 Prickly Pears when farming. These are only needed to upgrade to Level 4.
Very Comfortable Pillows and Cat Beds

These two items are really frustrating to collect, as they appear completely at random – just like the Dog Collar used to be.
You can find these items randomly in containers throughout residential and commercial areas. The Testing Annex in the Dam Battlegrounds is a particularly good place to search, as it has a high concentration of containers. Having the Testing Annex Key will make finding them even easier!
Also, remember to try a Night Raid. You might have better luck with it!
You’ll 1 Cat Bed for Level 4 and 3 Comfortable Pillows for Level 5.
Final Upgrade Material Tally

Before you finish up, here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll need to fully level up Scrappy:
- Level 2 – Dog Collar x1
- Level 3 – Lemons x3, Apricots x3
- Level 4 – Prickly Pears x6, Olives x6, Cat Bed x1
- Level 5 – Apricots x12, Mushrooms x12, Very Comfortable Pillows x3.
Here’s a complete guide to finding all the upgrade materials for Scrappy in ARC Raiders. We hope this makes Scrappy even more helpful for your team!
