It’s been more than ten years since Taylor Swift and Harry Styles had a brief but passionate relationship—a time that reportedly inspired songs like “I Knew You Were Trouble” and others from her 1989 album. According to a source who spoke with US Weekly, Swift is reportedly perfectly fine with Zoë Kravitz now dating Styles.
Harry and Taylor had a relationship a long time ago, but they’ve both moved on. They’re now just friendly acquaintances and don’t see each other very often. It’s all history now.
Back in August, people started speculating that Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles were dating, and recent sightings – including photos from mid-October – suggest they’re still spending time together. The connection seems serious enough that Zoë has reportedly introduced Harry to her father, Lenny Kravitz.
This marks Zoë Kravitz’s first public relationship following her split from Channing Tatum in October 2024. The pair dated for three years, and Tatum is now seeing Australian model Inka Williams.
Taylor Swift and Zoë Kravitz have been friends since at least 2016, a few years after Swift’s split with Harry Styles. They even spent time together during quarantine in London in 2020 while Kravitz was filming The Batman. More recently, Kravitz and her mother, Lisa Bonet, stayed with Swift and accidentally damaged her bathroom when they had to evacuate due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
Taylor Swift and Zoë Kravitz have consistently supported each other’s work – Taylor secretly took pictures during a screening of The Batman, and Zoë gave a rave six-word review of Taylor’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. Because of this strong mutual support, it’s not surprising they wouldn’t let a past relationship of Taylor’s come between them.
Fans of Taylor Swift believe her ex, Harry Styles, inspired several songs on her album 1989. They’ve found numerous hints over the years, and the song “Style” is a particularly strong example. Its lyrics, describing someone with a “James Dean daydream” look – long, slicked-back hair and a white T-shirt – seem to directly reference Styles.
The song “Out of the Woods” alludes to a car accident Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were in, with the lines “Remember when you hit the brakes too soon? Twenty stitches in a hospital room.” The vault track “Is It Over Now?” from the re-recorded album 1989 (Taylor’s Version) also references this incident.
Fans of Taylor Swift can still listen to her songs inspired by Harry Styles. It’s also great to hear that both he and Taylor seem happy in their current relationships, and that their past hasn’t impacted her friendship with Zoë Kravitz.
