The ‘Mixed Signals’ quest in ARC Raiders seems straightforward – destroy an ARC Surveyor and collect its belt. However, finding these Surveyors is the real challenge! They’re rare, move quickly, and are good at escaping. Fortunately, there’s a method to locate and destroy them efficiently, so you won’t spend hours on a fruitless search. Here’s a guide to help you complete the quest without wasting your time.
How to Find the Surveyor
The best way to find a Surveyor is to look for a bright blue beam of light pointing upwards. You can usually spot these beams in prominent locations like Blue Gate, Space Port, or around the Hydro Dome Complex on the Dam map.
Quick warning: The Surveyor is now stronger, so attacking it with melee weapons will likely be very difficult. It’s better to use Fero, Anvil, or grenades if you want to defeat it quickly.
Step 1: Destroy an ARC Surveyor

Your primary goal is to destroy an ARC Surveyor – that floating metal sphere constantly moving around the map.
If you see one, be prepared to move quickly! They’re fast and will try to get away if you hesitate. Your best chance is when you find it standing still.
Step 2: Use a Showstopper Grenade or Heavy Weapon

The simplest way to defeat it is with a Showstopper grenade. Throw one while the Surveyor is still standing still – it will stun it, giving you enough time to get close and finish it off.
You can break it down quickly with your weapon, or if you’re in a safe spot, use your pickaxe to save ammo. Alternatively, powerful weapons like Fero or Anvil will also destroy it efficiently.
Okay, so listen up, Surveyors are super rare finds, and they don’t hang around. If you take too long to react, it’ll fly off and you’ll be chasing it all over the place. Seriously, make sure you’re at a good level and have decent gear, because if you’re underpowered, you’ll just watch it float away for ages, trust me!
