EastEnders’ George Knight makes a bold move as Kojo Asare and Harry Mitchell escape Okie’s clutches in BBC iPlayer release

Okay, so a quick heads-up if you haven’t caught Tuesday’s EastEnders yet – the episode that dropped on BBC iPlayer – be warned, I’m about to dive into some major plot points. Consider yourself spoiled if you keep reading!

Kojo Asare, played by Dayo Koleosho, and Harry Mitchell, played by Elijah Holloway, have managed to get away from Okie (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) on EastEnders, but their escape could lead to serious trouble.

It was so tense watching Okie get the order from Ravi – he told him to shut down the whole drug operation and finally let Harry go. It was a huge relief to see things moving towards getting Harry out of that terrible situation!

With Ravi away, Okie kept giving him drugs and neglected to feed him for days. At the same time, Kojo had just returned from a car show in Cardiff only to be immediately pulled back into drug dealing.

George Knight and Teddy Mitchell were initially told their brother and son was simply away, but as time passed, they began to suspect something was wrong.

Teddy was back from Wales after tracking their movements. He suspected something was happening at Kojo’s apartment, but he wasn’t able to get inside to investigate.

Desperate, he confessed everything to George, but only if George promised not to involve the police. He feared getting Harry into trouble, and worried that either he or Harry could face imprisonment or deportation back to Ghana if the authorities became aware of the situation.

Kojo found the key to unlock Harry, but he was exhausted and fell to the ground. Harry told him to get away quickly, worried Okie would return and Kojo would get involved in further trouble.

Kojo quickly explained what was happening, and the families hurried to George Street. Harry had disappeared, but Okie had managed to find him.

But outside, Okie and his friends were attempting to stuff his body into a van.

The sound of sirens frightened them, and they abandoned Kojo on the road, quickly driving away. Teddy rushed to his son, telling him to hide before the police arrived.

So, who made the call? It turned out to be George, who believed it was the right thing to do to stop everything.

“I’m sorry”, he muttered, as the cars pulled up.

Could he have made a grave mistake?
