The mobile game Marvel Snap is kicking off its new season, “Arachnid Anarchy,” on November 4th, just before the Golden Gauntlet tournament. This season introduces a bunch of fresh cards and strategies centered around the ‘Movement’ mechanic. Characters like Spider-Punk, Ezekiel Sims, and the Prowler will be especially strong in decks built around this mechanic, working well with cards like Kraven, Scream, Hercules, and Hydra-Stomper.
The new season will feature the return of two popular game modes, plus new Tech cards and Abilities that could significantly change how players build their decks. Combined with an upcoming game balance update, this creates a great opportunity for players to try out new strategies in the Golden Gauntlet. Here’s a look at all the new cards coming to Marvel Snap in the “Arachnid Anarchy” season, and which existing cards they work best with.
What Arachnid Anarchy Brings To Marvel Snap

The newest season of Marvel Snap is diving deep into the Spider-Verse, with a strong emphasis on abilities that let cards move around the board – fitting for Spider-Man and his allies! Called “Arachnid Anarchy,” the season centers around Spider-Punk and features other Spider-Verse characters. New cards like Man-Spider and The Prowler showcase the season’s adaptable gameplay.
This season’s Premium Season Pass character is Spider-Punk, a 3/3 unit that can move once and steal 2 Power from the strongest enemy at its location. It will be interesting to see how Spider-Punk works with other cards focused on movement, like Ghost-Spider, Cloak, and Hellion. The Super Premium Season Pass card is Man-Spider, a unique combo of Agony and Black Panther. Man-Spider is a 5/1 with an On Reveal ability that merges him with the last card you played, then doubles his power. As the developers hinted, this could create a powerful strategy with strong cards that have downsides, like Starbrand, Typhoid Mary, or Red Skull – letting you double their power without the negative effects.
This season introduces several new cards, including the 3/4 Superior Spider-Man. He gives you an extra Energy at the start of each turn if you have any cards in play that have been boosted with Power – a great advantage for decks built around cards like America Chavez, Surge, or Okoye. He also works well with cards like Silver Surfer, Rocket Raccoon, and Cassandra Nova, which increase their own Power when played. Ezekiel Sims is a unique card with a special ability: he starts as a 2/2, but gains +2 Power whenever a higher-Power card is played at his location. He then moves to a different location, potentially making him a key piece in decks using cards like Kraven or Hydra-Stomper.
Spider-Man Noir is a special card with a unique ability. This 4/6 card activates its power only if the cards you’ve already played total exactly 8 cost. When it does, Spider-Man Noir draws the top card of your deck and places it with him, then increases his own power to 8. For decks focused on building power over simply playing cards, Spider-Man Noir can be a strong mid-game play, making cards like Iron Man even more effective.
Okay, so The Prowler is a really cool 3-cost card! Like Hawkeye or Snowguard, it adds some unique little cards to your hand – in this case, two Thief’s Tools. Then, the Vibro-Shock Gauntlets boost your strongest card by +2 Power and also give you an extra Energy next turn, which is awesome. Remote Mines weaken the strongest enemy cards in a lane by -2 Power. And the Flight Harness makes your most powerful card even stronger (+1 Power) and slides it over to the next lane. What I really love is that the Thief’s Tools are free if you moved a card on the previous turn – it just makes Prowler fit so well with cards that move around!
During the new Sanctum Showdown season, players will also unlock cards like Hydro-Man (which reduces the cost of your top deck card to 1), Chameleon (who copies the ability of another card played that turn), Deafening Chord (a card that weakens enemies costing 3 or less), and Web-Sling (which lets you move a card for the next turn). Plus, there will be new character variants for Spider-Punk, Silk, and Ghost-Spider. The season also brings back both Sanctum Showdown and High Voltage.
