Black Ops 7 continues the tradition of yearly Call of Duty releases, and like its predecessors, features a lot of weapon customization through camos. This year, there are even more camos to unlock than in recent games, including a unique set earned by completing the campaign.
That makes 16 in total, four from Campaign, Zombies, Multiplayer, and Warzone, respectively.
Okay, so getting these new camos in Black Ops 7? It’s probably going to take some serious effort, honestly – it always is. But enough beating around the bush, let’s dive into what the Mastery Camos actually look like!
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Mastery Camos — at a glance
| Mastery Tier | Campaign | Multiplayer | Zombies | Warzone |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | Molten Gold | Shattered Gold | Golden Dragon | Golden Damascus |
| Tier 2 | Moonstone | Arclight | Bloodstone | Starglass |
| Tier 3 | Chroma Flux | Tempest | Doomsteel | Absolute Zero |
| Tier 4 | Genesis | Singularity | Infestation | Apocalypse |
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Campaign Mastery Camos

The first special camouflage unlock for this campaign is Molten Gold, and I believe it’s the most visually appealing of the gold camos in Black Ops 7. After that, players can earn the shimmering and colorful Moonstone camo.
The final two are the swirly Chroma Flux, and the absolutely gorgeous emerald colored Genesis camo.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Mastery Camos

Naturally, the multiplayer mode features a new set of Mastery Camos for players to unlock, and these will likely be the first ones people go after. Starting with the classic Shattered Gold, the designs then move away from the usual diamond pattern, while still using a gem theme with the shimmering Arclight camo.
As a huge fan, I’m so excited about the final two colors! ‘Tempest’ sounds so dramatic and perfect for a stormy look, and ‘Singularity’ just feels… otherworldly. And honestly, if you’re a purple lover like me, this year is a dream come true – we’re absolutely spoiled for choice!
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies Mastery Camos

The special weapon skins in Zombies, called Mastery Camos, really fit the game’s style, and some of them look fantastic. The Golden Dragon camo makes your weapon appear covered in gold dragon scales. Bloodstone is inspired by gemstones and has a red and pink shimmering effect.
The two highest-level maps for Zombies are Doomsteel, which has an industrial look, and Infestation, which visually appears overrun with plant life, as its name suggests.
Warzone Mastery Camos

Just a heads-up: you won’t be able to unlock Warzone Mastery Camos right when Black Ops 7 comes out. They’ll be available once the battle royale is fully connected to the game with the start of Season 01.
In my opinion, the gold camouflage called Golden Damascus isn’t as strong as the other gold skins this year. Its yellow color isn’t really my style. Next up is Starglass.
Finally, you can unlock the best weapon skins and complete the ultimate camo challenge, earning the chilling Absolute Zero and the dark, dramatic Apocalypse camos.
How to unlock the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Mastery Camos
We’re still figuring out exactly what you need to do to earn each Mastery Camo. We’ll update this post with all the details as soon as we have them.
We can expect several difficulties along the way. For instance, completing standard weapon camouflage challenges in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer initially involved getting 100 headshots, but the requirements later became more diverse.
Challenges to unlock camos could involve things like getting multiple kills in a row after sprinting, or completing matches without taking any damage, or by using specific weapon attachments or character abilities. As you aim for higher-tier camos, the requirements get harder – for example, earning 10 double kills for a Gold camo, or achieving 3 kills without dying 10 times for a Diamond camo.
Each game mode will have its own separate challenges for unlocking camos. This means Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone will all have unique requirements.
The process is consistent no matter which game mode you’re in. To get a new Camo, you’ll need to finish all the Camo challenges from the previous level first.
Weapon Prestige Camos

Black Ops 7 will expand on weapon customization with even more camos to earn. You’ll unlock a new camo for each of the first two Weapon Prestige tiers, and a final unique camo when you reach Weapon Prestige Master level 250.
You can use these camouflage patterns on different weapons, but you’ll need to unlock them by leveling up specific weapons through the Prestige system.
With so many weapons in Black Ops 7, unlocking all the weapon camos will take a lot of effort. Hopefully, the reward for finishing the collection – the Calling Card – will be worth it!
Activision recently shared a quick video showcasing the new Mastery Camos and their animations as part of the Call of Duty NEXT event.
