See Jessica Simpson’s Plastic Surgery Prosthetics in All’s Fair

Jessica Simpson’s All’s Fair look will take your breath away.

After a 15-year break from acting, the star of Newlyweds returned to the screen playing Lee-Ann, a woman who sought legal assistance from Kim Kardashian’s lawyer, Allura Grant, after multiple plastic surgeries didn’t go as planned. She used makeup prosthetics to transform into the character.

In the third episode of the Hulu series, Jessica appeared with exaggerated prosthetic cheeks and dark circles under her eyes, along with a fake nose and very shiny lips. As Lee-Ann describes how her husband’s infidelity led her to have cosmetic surgery, her facial expressions are noticeably stiff and unnatural.

The singer of “A Public Affair” not only had an unexpected appearance on screen, but she also impressed herself with her acting, especially since it had been over ten years since she last performed.

Jessica admitted she was surprised by her performance, telling Entertainment Tonight at the show’s October 16th premiere, ‘I hadn’t acted in a long time, and I usually play silly or clueless characters. But this role is much more sensitive and emotionally challenging.’

The 45-year-old, who has three children – 13-year-old Maxi, 12-year-old Ace, and 6-year-old Birdie – with her ex-husband, Eric Johnson, shared that playing Lee-Ann allowed her to discover a new emotional range. She said she was surprised by her ability to cry on demand, and even impressed herself. Viewers will also see a completely different side of her personality.

Okay, so Jessica was amazing, obviously, but get this – Glenn Close, Glenn Close actually said Kim was incredible at leading all of us! Can you believe it? Like, the legendary Glenn Close was praising her leadership! I knew she was special, and now everyone else is starting to see it too. It’s just… everything about this project is perfect!

In May, the eight-time Oscar nominee told TopMob News that she was genuinely impressed with Kim.

The 78-year-old was blown away by the SKIMS founder’s work ethic, too.

Glenn described her as a genuinely kind and diligent person. He noted she’s surrounded by good people, and isn’t at all pretentious. He even saw her studying for her law exam while they were finishing up filming, proving she’s incredibly driven and manages a lot of different things at once.

The British actor famously gained over 40 pounds twice for his roles. First, he did it for his Oscar-nominated performance as a con man in the 2013 film American Hustle, and again to portray former Vice President Dick Cheney in the 2018 movie Vice, which also earned him an Oscar nomination.

Christian Bale famously transformed his body for roles. For his 2019 film Ford v Ferrari, he lost 70 pounds to portray the lean race car driver Ken Miles. This wasn’t the first time he’d drastically changed his weight for a part; he also lost around 30 pounds while filming The Fighter in 2011.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what they did to Glenn Close for her role as Mamaw Vance! I read in Variety that they actually used a cast of her head from the 2011 movie Albert Nobbs! Then, Matthew Mungle, the makeup genius, sculpted her completely new ears and a nose – a false nose! It was incredible. Honestly, she was so unrecognizable, and it totally paid off – she even got an Oscar nomination! I was obsessed with her transformation, it was truly amazing!

To play Donald Trump, the actor reunited with the hair and makeup team who previously turned him into Tommy Lee for the series Pam & Tommy. He also gained weight to more closely resemble Trump’s build.

Stan intentionally gained about 15 pounds by following his nutritionist’s advice: he ate a lot of instant ramen with soy sauce and drank soda, all to make his face appear fuller.

To portray the famous jazz singer in the 2021 movie, the actress lost nearly 40 pounds and received an Oscar nomination for her performance.

It might have seemed a little extreme that he was reportedly eating just one almond a day, as his co-star Emily Blunt playfully pointed out. But the actor was serious about accurately portraying the physical appearance of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the atomic bomb scientist.

Honestly, I’ve been completely captivated by everything Oppenheimer, and the director nailed the physical transformation! He told the New York Times he really focused on getting that specific look right – Oppenheimer was so thin, almost gaunt. The director said he had to lose a lot of weight, and they worked so hard on the clothes to make it believable. Apparently, Oppenheimer basically lived on martinis and cigarettes, and they really wanted to show that in the film. It’s just…amazing attention to detail. I’m obsessed!

The acclaimed actress won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2004 for her powerful and unsettling performance as Aileen Wuornos, a real-life serial killer.

To portray the troubled Arthur Fleck, who later becomes Batman’s enemy, the actor lost 52 pounds. He received the Best Actor Oscar in 2020 for his compelling performance.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe the transformation she underwent for that 2002 movie! It took THREE HOURS of makeup – and I heard they used this massive prosthetic nose – to completely change her appearance. Seriously, I didn’t even recognize her! It was incredible, and totally deserved the Best Actress win, honestly.

The actor shed 35 pounds and shaved his head to play an HIV-stricken attorney suing his former firm for wrongful termination. Hanks took home Best Actor at the 1994 Oscars, and made a similar transformation for his Oscar-nominated performance in 2000’s Cast Away

The actress, who famously gained a reported 17 pounds to play the title role in Bridget Jones’s Diary, did not have to change her physique to transform into Judy Garland for the 2019 film Judy, for which she won her first Oscar. You can thank the makeup and costume department for her transformation.

Renée had a strong connection with Jany Temime, the costume designer for the movie Judy, who also designed the costumes for the Harry Potter films, Vulture reported. Temime said, “It felt like Renée truly became Judy while playing her.”

Renée Zellweger explained that the costumes for the film were tailored to mimic Judy Garland’s specific posture. This meant the dresses wouldn’t fit Zellweger properly unless she adopted Garland’s stance, and sometimes she couldn’t even zip them up.

As someone who follows both fashion and film, I was really struck by Margot Robbie’s transformation for her role as Tonya Harding. It was a total 180 from her glamorous turn in The Wolf of Wall Street! She really went all-in, using prosthetics, braces, and wigs to convincingly portray the figure skater and bring that incredibly dramatic scandal to life on screen. It’s amazing how much an actor can change with the right tools and dedication.

In 2014, Matthew McConaughey won the Best Actor Oscar for his dedicated performance as an electrician living with HIV/AIDS.

Heath Ledger won an Oscar after his death in 2008 for his captivating and unsettling portrayal of The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s second Batman movie. His version of the famous villain was a significant departure from how previous actors had played the role.

Makeup artist John Caglione Jr. wondered to IGN what would happen if the character didn’t bother with his appearance. “What if he slept in his makeup? What if he didn’t refresh it for two or three weeks? He never even changes his clothes!” Caglione explained that focusing on these realistic, everyday details was key to bringing the character to life.

He went on to explain that when you picture clown makeup, it’s usually very precise and defined, with strong, clear lines. But what he was describing was the complete opposite – it was supposed to look messy and undefined, not neat and sharp.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always been fascinated by actors who truly become their roles. A perfect example? Hilary Swank. She completely transformed herself – both physically and emotionally – to portray Brandon Teena, a real-life transgender man, in a powerful 1999 film. And she did it again, making another stunning transformation for Clint Eastwood’s award-winning film in 2004. It really shows her dedication to her craft!

As a huge fan, I was absolutely amazed to learn what Gary Oldman went through to become Winston Churchill! Apparently, he dedicated over four hours every single day to makeup, and even wore a special bodysuit designed like a Victorian corset to really get the look right. It’s incredible dedication to the role, and you can tell it paid off!

To win Best Actress at the 2011 Oscars, the actress lost 20 pounds and dedicated as much as 16 hours a day to preparing for her demanding role as a ballerina struggling with mental illness.

Jared Leto, known for his transformative roles, fully committed to playing a transgender woman with HIV for his Oscar-winning performance in 2014. He lost 40 pounds and remained in character only while filming.

I’d transformed my body for roles before, but this one was unique,” Jared Leto explained to TopMob News in 2013. “The part really required a total dedication… It wasn’t just about physical changes, but how it impacted my movement, speech, personality, and emotions. It left me feeling vulnerable, fragile, and insecure.”

The actress who won Best Actress physically transformed for her role, gaining 15 pounds of muscle to portray a mother escaping captivity with her 5-year-old son, Jacob Tremblay, in a 2015 film. To fully understand her character’s experience, she also deliberately limited her social interactions and restricted her diet, even avoiding nutrients like Vitamin D.

Rooney Mara received a Best Actress nomination at the 2012 Oscars for her role in the thriller. To fully become the character Lisbeth Salander, she went to extreme lengths, including getting multiple piercings, bleaching her eyebrows, and cutting her hair.
