The independent games Sony is supporting through its China and India Hero Projects are consistently improving, and Suri: The Seventh Note is a great recent example of this trend.
I’m so excited about this new game, Suri: The Seventh Note! It’s being made by Tathvamasi Studios as part of their India Hero Project, and they just dropped a gameplay trailer. It looks amazing! It’s a “multi-sensory rhythm experience,” which basically means you play with the music. They’re really emphasizing how the PS5’s controller will make you feel the beat – not just hear and see it, but actually feel it through the haptic feedback. It’s coming out in 2026 on PS5 and PC, and I can’t wait!

The story takes place on the magical island of Suri, where young Ajira embarks on a desperate quest to save her mother. She must find a rare, magical fruit hidden in the dangerous heart of the island, a land plagued by a strange and destructive force.
In a recent PlayStation Blog post, the game’s developer shared their excitement about bringing their game, Suri, to PlayStation consoles. Game director Glen Martin explained that the team has a strong personal connection to PlayStation, having grown up playing its consoles. They’ve collaborated closely with Sony to refine the game’s Rhythm Haptic Engine and described the experience as a valuable learning opportunity.
