Okay, so I messed up my Skill Tree build in ARC Raiders – it happens! I’ve been trying to figure out if there’s a way to reset things and start over, and I’m sure a lot of other players are wondering the same thing.
The game doesn’t currently offer a way to easily reset your character’s skills or stats. While there are workarounds, they’re not as straightforward or fast as a dedicated respec option would be.
Nonetheless, in this guide, we’ll tell you the only way there is to respec your Skill Tree.
How To Respec Skill Tree | ARC Raiders
As we previously stated, ARC Raiders doesn’t allow you to reset or reallocate your Skill Tree points. There’s no option to do so, even for a cost – you can’t partially or fully redistribute them.

But there’s another option: Expeditions. You’ll unlock this feature when you reach Level 20. You can find it by selecting “Projects” in the Raider tab from the main menu.

So, if you’re curious about what Expeditions are all about, you can find a full explanation right in the game! Just look for the “About Expeditions” button and click on it – or, if you’re like me and prefer using the controller, just press down on the right stick. It lays everything out for you.
In short, this functions as a status system. You contribute resources to create a caravan that will transport your character out of the Rust Belt, and completing this allows you to create a brand new character.
Please be aware that starting a new Expedition will result in the loss of your current Raider. Consider this carefully before you begin an Expedition if you want to keep your existing Raider.

There are also some advantages coming with the update. Future Raiders will earn experience faster, collect more materials from Scrappy, have improved weapon repair capabilities, and receive extra Skill Points and Stash Slots. Plus, players will be able to carry over some of their current progress and items.

When you start a new Raider playthrough, you won’t be able to carry over all of your progress. As you can see, you’ll lose many items and advancements, including the skill points you’ve earned.
Think of this as a way to completely rebuild your character! You’ll be able to level up and redistribute your skills, effectively letting you try a different playstyle. It’s the best way to change things up in the game right now.
Expedition’s Limited Availability Explained

Just one more thing about Expeditions: they’re only available for a limited time.
You have 7 weeks, from October 30th to December 14th, 2025, to get everything ready and provide the necessary materials for the Expedition Project.
After the 7-week period ends, you’ll have a few days to complete the Expedition Project. For this current Expedition, that finalization period is from December 15th to December 20th, 2025.
If you’ve completed your Expedition, the Caravan will leave on December 21, 2025. This will reset your Raider, letting you start a new one.

Okay, so if I didn’t quite get everything together for this project by the deadline, that’s alright! The good news is, everything I did manage to do won’t go to waste – it’ll count towards the next Expedition Project. That’s a huge relief!
That covers everything about the Expedition system in this game. Although it’s not perfect, this costly, optional reset is the best way to essentially re-specialize your character’s skills in ARC Raiders. It’s a helpful feature, at least… isn’t it?
