GLOW Season 4 Plans REVEALED!

Jackie Tohn, an actress from the show GLOW, shared insights into the plot for Season 4 of GLOW that would have unfolded if Netflix hadn’t ended it. After airing for three seasons from 2017 to 2019, GLOW was renewed by Netflix for a fourth season. However, in 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Netflix opted to cancel both Season 4 and the series altogether, even though it had gained popularity (as with many shows during that period).

During an exclusive chat with TopMob while discussing her latest movie, “The Floaters“, actress Jackie Tohn, famously known for her role in “GLOW“, shared insights into what could have transpired in “GLOW” Season 4, focusing on the episodes of Season 4 that were filmed before it was cancelled.

In an interesting reveal, it was disclosed that the initial blueprint for Season 4 had a major fallout among the characters, leading to a significant split within their group. The actress also hinted at her potential return for either Season 4 or a film spin-off of the series, emphasizing that her fellow cast members like Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin are all eager to wrap up the storyline appropriately.

The third season of GLOW ended with a suspenseful twist, as some characters parted ways. It hinted at what could have transpired in Season 4, such as Bash and Debbie’s TV Network that she obtained with his funds, Sam returning to Los Angeles, and Carmen departing with her brother. GLOW Star Reveals What Would Have Happened in Season 4

“I’m Assuming, At the End, They Would Have Gotten Back Together…”

  • TopMob: “Obviously, we all know what happened with Season 4 [of GLOW], but I wanted to ask you, what would have happened in Season 4 with Melanie? What did you film that we’re never gonna see? And what was that journey?”

Jackie Tohn: “At this point, I can share my thoughts. To be honest, I’m not completely sure how the season concluded since they didn’t provide us scripts beyond episode 10. Consequently, I only have knowledge of the first two episodes. However, I do know that there was a significant divide among the female characters. Some of them participated in a bikini wrestling venture, while others continued with GLOW. There was also a notable split within the GLOW group, and I believe they would have reconciled by the end, resulting in a harmonious resolution. However, I like to refer to what happened to GLOW as a reverse renewal. People often say that it was canceled, but I feel protective about it because we were picked up for two episodes initially, then COVID-19 struck, and we never resumed production. Essentially, we were technically canceled, but the sets remained intact for a year, with promises of ‘Soon! Maybe!’ Even until a week ago, there were discussions about Season 4 or a movie. Alas, I’m an old wrestler now, but we’re ready to come back if given the opportunity.

  • TopMob: “A revival could happen at any moment.”

Jackie Tohn: “We’re ready for it. I’ve heard Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, and Mark Maron express in interviews that they might return. We’d be happy to join them if they do.
