Okay, so I just heard that Fate Trigger, the third-person shooter I’ve been following, is finally coming to PlayStation 5! It’s launching in Early Access around the first three months of 2026, which is awesome. The developers, Saroasis Studio, also said it’ll be available on Steam for PC around the same time. I’m really excited to jump in and start playing!
Here is an overview of the game, via Saroasis Studio:
New Content Slated for Fate Trigger on PC and Console
- New Heroes – With momentum building rapidly behind the title, Fate Trigger is set to take its game to the next level. Alongside the PlayStation reveal, Saroasis Studios unveiled a fresh trailer brimming with Easter eggs and sneak peeks at upcoming content. In fact, players anticipating the Early Access phase can look forward to the debut of two new, game changing heroes (known as Awakeners), including Fally and Tata and Bibi, adding to the already existing ten heroes that players have come to enjoy.
- Fally – An assault class of heroes, Fally introduces a unique new cloning ability, enabling users to control two characters at once. Adding a fresh layer of tactics, she can switch places with her clone to set up ambushes, retreat in a blink, or rush to an ally’s aid. When both engage together, their “Twin Tactics” ability turns the battlefield into a one-versus-two nightmare for enemies.

-
- Tata and Bibi — This defensive pair excels at locking down territory, using turrets that cling to any surface (even moving vehicles) to stall enemy pushes and shield allies from incoming throwables.

- Brand New Map – Fate Trigger‘s upcoming update will also allow gamers to explore a completely new play arena.
- Blightfront – A new 2km x 2km Awakener Trial map, Blightfront is designed for fast, high-intensity combat. The map is split by towering walls into tightly connected zones, complex cover layouts and crossfire angles, which demand teamwork. And thirteen unique urban areas with taller buildings and wider interiors offer a fresh combat experience.

Console Expansion Signals Bigger Ambitions for Fate Trigger
Saroasis Studios listened closely to player feedback throughout the entire development of Fate Trigger, and that commitment is clear in the console release. They used insights from PC players during beta testing and continued gathering feedback as they built the console version, resulting in a smooth and enjoyable control experience for PlayStation players.
- Option for Cross-Platform Play – To maintain balance between gamers, Fate Trigger will feature the option to select between dedicated servers for console players or the option to play against PC players with cross-platform play. That way fairness is built into the game design and avoids the common pitfalls forcing players into unbalanced cross-platform matchups.
- Cross-Platform Progression – Keep your account level, friends list, characters, and skins perfectly in sync across every device.
- Native Console Controls – To ensure Fate Trigger feels truly native to console, the user interface and controls are optimized to fully align with PlayStation’s gameplay experience. Each hero now features a refined, customizable control layout, while intuitive navigation, quick commands, and smooth cursor movement make menu interaction effortless. This also extends to support for key PlayStation features including adaptive triggers, advanced vibration feedback, and gyro aiming, for a more immersive, lifelike experience that brings every shot and battle to life.
