I’m so excited! Clouded Leopard Entertainment, Spiral Up Games, and The Swordman Studio just announced that Wandering Sword, the awesome 3D pixel Wuxia RPG, is coming to PlayStation 5 on May 28, 2026! And even better, they’re planning to release it on the new Switch 2 and the original Switch sometime later in 2026. I can’t wait to play!

The game will be released digitally everywhere, and as a physical copy in Japan and Asia. You can pre-order the digital version now on the PlayStation Store for $34.99, £29.99, €34.99, or ¥4,928. A Deluxe Edition is also available for $44.99, £39.99, €44.99, or ¥6,578 and includes extra accessories and the game’s soundtrack. If you pre-order either edition, you’ll get 72 hours of early access and two exclusive costumes.

Wandering Sword first launched for PC via Steam on September 15, 2023.

Console Versions

I recently discovered this cool RPG called Wandering Sword. It’s made by a small indie team, The Swordman Studio, over in Shanghai. Spiral Up Games, based in Singapore, are the ones who published it, so it’s a pretty international project!

The game launched on Steam in September 2023 and has quickly become a hit with players. It’s received over 31,000 reviews and a remarkably positive 94% rating, establishing it as one of the most well-received independent games in recent years.

The new PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch versions of the game, published by Clouded Leopard Entertainment, will come with two previously released DLC packs: “Mount Pack: The Supreme Steed” and “Immortal Trails Across the Blue Sea.”

Players will also be able to enjoy new Japanese and Chinese voice acting, along with Japanese and Korean subtitles. This will let them fully immerse themselves in the game’s grand Eastern story.

Voice cast details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned for future updates!

  • Dual Battle Modes – Battle strategically or act in real time—switch freely between turn-based command combat and real- time action on a tactical, tile-based battlefield. Master a variety of weapons and martial arts schools to become a true kung fu master!
  • Beautiful Pixel Art – Experience the breathtaking depiction of ancient China, brought to life through stunning, hand-crafted pixel art rarely seen in modern gaming.
