I pretended to need more time to test this Hall Effect controller because it’s so good — now it’s at its lowest price ever

During the time spent from opening the package to playing with the GameSir Super Nova for approximately 100 hours, I became convinced that this gamepad was outstanding. However, instead of moving on to other uses, I continued to employ it under the pretext of “testing” due to its remarkable comfort and enjoyable gaming experience.

Currently, the GameSir Super Nova is on sale for its lowest price yet due to a special offer available during Amazon Prime Day.

According to Amazon, the GameSir Super Nova retails at $59.99, but I’m skeptical about that figure. When it first hit the market, this controller was priced at $49.99. However, with a 33% discount on the GameSir Super Nova, you can grab the controller for its lowest price yet, and it’s definitely a worthwhile deal.

The upgrade my Xbox controller couldn’t give me

During my shift from console gaming to PC gaming, I brought along my Xbox Wireless Controller. Although it’s decent, it doesn’t have all the essential features found in the GameSir Super Nova.

Using an Xbox Wireless Controller will feel remarkably similar to operating the Super Nova, thanks to its button arrangement, size, and shape that require minimal adaptation.

Notably, the GameSir Super Nova sports Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, customizable rear action buttons, an integrated battery, and even includes a charging station – all for just $50! This budget-friendly controller left me pleasantly surprised.

Currently, the GameSir Super Nova controller is at its all-time low price of $39.99 – a deal you won’t want to miss!

Why the GameSir Super Nova stands out in a crowded market

One of the newest controllers from GameSir is the GameSir Super Nova. This controller works with Windows, iOS, Android, and now, as per the latest updates, it’s also compatible with the Nintendo Switch, including the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Essentially, it is worth noting that the GameSir Super Nova controller is incompatible with Xbox systems. If you own an Xbox Series X|S or any previous models, you might need to explore other options, as there are numerous Amazon Prime Day and anti-Prime Day deals available on controllers compatible with Xbox consoles.

In my GameSir Super Nova review, it was particularly noticeable how the Hall Effect sticks and triggers on the controller stood out. Given my dislike for stick drift, it’s a welcome relief to find a controller that’s designed to be resistant to this problem.

I said the following in my review of the controller:

The Hall Effect controls and customizable buttons, along with ergonomic rubber grips, provide a flexible and enjoyable gaming experience. This design evenly envelops the entire controller for maximum comfort.

The Super Nova controller feels great to hold, adds an aesthetic touch to your workspace, and delivers excellent performance during gaming sessions. This device ticks many important boxes for a quality controller, and it actually exceeds the standards usually associated with products within its price bracket.

In my tests, I found that the GameSir Super Nova could be linked either via Bluetooth or a 2.4GHz adapter. Personally, I opted for the 2.4GHz connection, but both methods functioned smoothly.

The textured handles on the GameSir Super Nova provide a firm grip, reducing the risk of discomfort or slipping caused by moisture, such as sweat. Given the current heatwave in the UK, this feature was particularly valuable when temperatures rose dramatically.

According to GameSir, the controller is expected to last approximately 15 hours on a single charge. Fortunately, the gaming pad comes with a built-in charging dock, so I haven’t had to worry about running out of battery power yet.

During my tests, I encountered a problem mainly with the GameSir Connect software, which is utilized for personalizing the GameSir Super Nova controller. While connecting wirelessly, I experienced certain difficulties with this software. However, these issues were largely resolved after an initial wired pairing.

Essentially, the GameSir Super Nova is a top-notch controller with an added advantage of being budget-friendly. With its Prime Day Discount, it becomes even more appealing.

Since wrapping up my review, I’ve continued to use the controller regularly.
