The high-intensity warfare game, STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, will no longer be exclusive to Xbox consoles. Instead, it’s planned for release on PlayStation 5 later in the current year.
An exclusive sneak peek at the game, graphically demonstrated within the actual engine, features a team gathered around a control panel, ultimately hinting that the game will be available on Sony’s gaming platform.
As per the information provided, the DualSense controller will receive comprehensive backing to provide a more engaging gaming experience, also offering advanced improvements for the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Initially leaked papers unveiled that the first-person shooter game was initially an exclusive to the Xbox Series X|S for a duration of three months. However, upon release, the game turned out to be flawed and necessitated numerous fixes through patches and updates to rectify its glitches.
Following last year’s statement by developer GSC Game World, they mentioned “no current plans” for the project on Sony’s platform. With nearly a full year having passed since then, there has been ample time to refine and enhance the gameplay experience. Consequently, PS5 players will get the most optimized version of the game.
Initially, the issues mentioned earlier led to the game receiving a somewhat divided response when it first came out, earning a score of 73 on Metacritic. While several players found a solid gaming experience within, they felt that the execution was rushed and messy, making it hard to wholeheartedly endorse the game. Fingers crossed that the PS5 version will be released in a more polished state.
