GSC Game World’s “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl,” originally exclusive to Xbox consoles, has now been confirmed for PlayStation 5 as well. A fresh trailer released by IGN showcases the gameplay experience on PS5, with the player character (and other NPCs) seemingly enjoying it. The release date is set for late 2025.
Although S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl managed to gain six million players by March, it has faced criticism for technical glitches, poor performance, and a less-than-realistic AI in NPCs. The game has since released multiple updates to rectify these issues, with the most recent one introducing new weapons and fully implementing A-Life 2.0. You can find more information about this here.
In the interim, keep an eye out for further announcements regarding the PS5 version. Additionally, the action game “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2,” previously exclusive to Xbox, is scheduled to release on August 12th and will also be available on your console.
